    Here we go again...............

So as some will know i chucked in the white towel about 12 months ago after becoming totally sick of the expense of Nissans...... and also having a particularly terrible experiance with a bunch of cunty numpties who mapped my car with an old toaster and a USB lead white high on crack which was injected into their rectums by the gallon.

However for the last year I've been equally as sick of not owning a cool car. I do own a civic VTI as a daily and do enjoy doing little bits to it and giving it a good ripsnort every now and then. But its not quite the same.

So I've kinda been on the look out I'd guess for a few months now. With the cost of S bodies getting higher by the minute I genuinly thought I'd never own one again. That was until this came up for a bargain of a price.

So on Saturday me and my main man Bazzil Pumpaloaf went all the way to Kent (only 5 hours each way) to go and take a look. It wasn't quite as clean as I'd hoped and did need some tidying up. However the car did come with most of the spares it needed and the good sir who sold it was able to move on price such that it make it affordable for me.

Now a bit of background here. I'm 24 and live at home. My dad hates this and wants me out immediately. However I'm not quite ready to totally own my life right now with the cost of a house. Basically if he knew I'd bought this car it would either have to go up for sale or I'd be forced out my house. This means hiding it away (hence the title). So it will be going up to Driftland to sit and do absolutely nothing for a few months. This means it cannot make its way onto Facebook or i fear it will get back to me dad who will then go all ISIS on my ass and i don't want that.

So i guess people will want to know plans......well i guess its far too high so i'll be decking it. I did think at first about swapping front and rear bumpers for vertex and selling the snazzy Kouki ones on however i think it looks quite nice so i'll give it the benefit of the doubt before selling such rare items on. I will obviously tidy anything up that needs it (some rot near the rear subframe and need to check out the rear tubs to see if it can go uber low or not). I'm also not too happy with the cage. Mostly the way the B pillar is so close to the seat that you can't move it back far enough for the best driving position. Not quite sure how i'm gonna solve that without buying a different cage but we'll see how i get on. I'm also very tempted to go down to 17's so that skids are easier. If someone has a full set of Grids in 17's and fancies a swap let me know.

So the below is copied from the original advert.

There's a car just up the road from me that is very similar to this! Just without the rear wing and K sports... This looks cool though. Love emerald green

I'd say Toyota's are probably more expensive TBH. I see S bodies as a perfect drifter. Enough power, light, responsive, loads of spare parts and look cool. I tend to think with other cars like Toyota's your spending extra dosh to either get a bigger, heavier car or an AE86 with 100BHP.

This one will stay stealthy but will be alot lower when i get chance.

Suppose it depends which one your looking at. My soarer was dirt cheap, and drifts easier than my old s13, even tho it's an auto!! I was worried about the weight at first, but u defo can't feel it or tell imo. It defo ain't a barge

and a stock AFM! Probably whatever came up at the time TBH.

gt4tosupra: I've been in soarers that have felt very long and very heavy. The S bodies i've owned have always had ultra aggressive setups. This will be the same one day.

Gogzy: it may be a few months until i do this. i need to make a huge list of the parts and jobs that i need to be able to do it. I'm thinking alot of cutting welding and a nice order to Parts shop Max may help me out. I want to avoid drop knuckles and the issues they bring.

Bricey: Yeh its gonna be a while until it looks any better but it will at some point look spiffing.

    This is cool,
Good starting spec and the hiding all existence of it from your dad will make it all the more fun when giving it some round driftland!
All the best with it, doesn't look like it needs much, cage looks nice too

An auto Soarer is not a better drift car than a manual S13, and when you come to start upgrading shit that cheap purchase price will be forgotten as well ;)

Good commitment to the cause Struggle, Im not sure I could live with having a car I had to drive to go drive but needs must I suppose :wack:

Not really expensive I wouldn't say. First one I bought for a grand, mint condition, steel wheel twin turbos, so it cost about 1500 to get to 380 bhp

Cool car with a decent spec.

Your dad sounds like mine though with the whole modified car and drifting inparticular for me.

Your s14 was what I wanted mine to end up looking like.
