Hi I’m not very good at writing these things but here it goes.
I bought an s13 off a friend around a year ago now, had a really good spec for me to start learning to drift with.
    S14 hubs all round
    R33 brakes up front
    Stage 1
    Apex coil overs
And some other bits and bobs like braces etc.
Anyway I welded the diff and I started doing some drift days with some other friends that had just got into the sport and loved it, couldn’t get enough really. And the little CA just never let me down all year but now I’ve decided to do a 1uz conversion.
No particular reason but I got the conversion cheap which included the clutch and flywheel setup along with sr20 gearbox and adapter plate. Also I have always fancied a bit of a mad project like this.
Anyway here is my progress so far! (p.s. this is in two nights of work with me and a friend I think we did ok lol)

The car when I first pulled it into my mate’s garage

Then after a few hours of tinkering pulling off the old loom and fuel lines, water lines, intercooler, rad etc etc
    FB_IMG_1417732905508_zpslyrbenra.
Then basically ready to come out on the start of the second night, I cut the front slam panel out to make getting the v8 in easier

    Then lifted the CA out

Then simply lifted the v8 in lol

Now today after I get my lazy ass off the sofa I’m going to remove the front ARB so I can get the engine low enough. And then start to mock up some engine and gearbox mounts.
Also the conversion I bought came with a prop but both the gearbox side and my existing half prop coming from the 13 diff have the same ends?! Strange I know, came from a s14 I don’t know if that makes any difference.

    Update:

    Just found a s13 1uz subframe so that's engine mounts sorted :)

Looks like a nice S13. I wish I had garage space like that.

Takes about 3 wires to get a 1UZ running on stock loom

Stavros the loom I've been given is chopped for a 14 and it's like he's done it with a pair of scissors and some Sellotape it's shocking.

The wheels are enkei rpf1 upfront and dare rs at the back mr Capri

Yes ruishy I do want to add boost ! Manifolds are my main worry at the moment do you make your own ?

You use the standard manifolds, flipped and reversed. They are more than man enough to do 500bhp.
In a 13 you will be struggling for room to turbo it, supercharging would be your best bet IMHO.

Yeh doesn't sound as good though :( how much boost can you run on the standard ecu when supercharging ?

with 7mge green injectors and a rising rate FPR you can do 7-10 psi before the ecu starts shitting itself

Awesome that's good to know, I already have fpr. Is the 7mge engine from a supra ?

Do you know of any good mount and belt kits available ?

Except they're pretty hard to get hold of in the UK. You could use the more available supra turbo injectors but the resistance is different so you'd need some 10ohm resistors

    Don't turbo it yet.

Drive it non turbo for a while. Get used to it, and turbo later.

Plus they are 440cc which the standard ecu cant cope with.
You can get a set of 8 7mge from the states for less than 100 quid delivered

    Yeh that's where I live weenface :)

Nah not planning on turboing anytime soon more of a this time next year thing for forced induction. I don't think the gearbox diff and half shafts etc could cope anyway.

Thanks for all the info on injectors people will come in handy later on next year
