Smile project sierra S14

Hi guys I am new to , I brought my sierra about 3 months ago, so far I have striped all in inerter out and the engine, the original engine was a 1.6 CVH. When I got the car I was going to put a Vauxhall 2.0 redtop engine in it. I brought the redtop off eBay a few weeks ago then I herd of a Nissan S14 complete engine, box, loom and ECU for sale. I had never heard of a S14 in a sierra so I looked on the internet and I can not find nothing so I thought it would be a good project to do, has any one ever seen this done or pictures of this done before?
Here are a few pictures of what has been done so far.

1.6 CVH engine

out with the old

giveing it a good clean

here is the new engine

this weeek i will be fitting it in. i will post more pics soon

wow, good job so far.

i loathe to say it but the sr20det is actually a bit better than a 1.6 cvh

good luck fitting her in there, i just hope the sierra doesnt burn itself alive trying to flee from nissan power

Sounds like a mammoth task but well done for giving it a go.
Only thought I would have is after you have finished all the work and fabrication needed to complete will it be cheaper to do than buying a cossie engine?
If not then why not buy one of them.

You need to check on Aussie or NZ websites as they have been fitting jap stuff in there Fords. Like an Evo 7 engine in a Cossie!!

It would probably cost around the same price if not more for a cossie,
But it’s more of a challenge putting in Nissan power.
And it will give people more of a shock when they see a Nissan S14 and not a cossie

We used a type 9 box, with a hybrid bellhousing, mix and match of vauxhall and ford clutch etc. Fitted in quite nicely Has since been removed and replaced with a cosworth 24v

What do i do, to change the links to images, save people clicking on them? i used the [img] tags, but that didnt work?

Go onto photobucket.com and register. its free too, u then upload your pics and then copy the URL address, then when u send a new post click on the insert image and paste your URL address, hope this helps
Good pics what BHP was u putting out?

iv put my engine in today its not fabricated in yet but got the bracket for the gearbox done it just needs welding when the engine is in the right place, we used the original bracket to bolt to the car then made v shaped bracket to sit into the rubber, then cut a square piece of steel bolted it to the gearbox now just need to be welded in right place.
Sorry got now pics of this will get some soon.

Have got pics on the engine going in though .

There always some one to get in the way of a good pic

if it dose not go in give it a good kick

Will get more pics soon

Got power steering rack yesterday, fit in place of old steering rack grate, but when engine was lowered back down the sump was hitting the rack and the pipes.
Had to tack the cross member off and drop the rack down half inch buy cutting the middle out, and the side where rack bolts to, then put the cross member back in place to try and see how it sits.

will be getting the engine fabricated in over the weekend.
