Maybe people might be interested in this....

I have had most genres of automotive stupidity over the years, but never a V8 manual car, so I thought I'd try this out.

1990 Ford Mustang, with factory 5.0 fuel injected V8 and manual T5 transmission. Decent platform to start with, big engine, solid rear axle, pretty lightweight.

The notchback is the stiffest and lightest of the bodystyles, and this one is windy windows, no AC, no sunroof.

I managed to get it for a good price from a mechanic I used to work with, so it's had some basic things done already and is in pretty decent shape.

The first things to do are universal regardless of what you buy - make it lower and wider.
    Coilovers and 16x9s....
I can't get it lower at the moment until I get some wheel spacers on there and remove the rear bumpstops. It'll happen though.

And I've been commuting in it for a little while like that now. It has a decent amount of power, nothing impressive. The main bonus is the raunchy noises it makes.

Next on the list is to get another axle and weld the diff up and install a 3.73 r+p set, and then focus on improving the steering lock (its a complete joke from stock).

Then it should pretty much stomp everything out.

Are you the guy who also had that red compact e36?
Would have loved a foxbody just like yours but they are extremely rare here in Italy.

These are so badass, especially on CCW style wheels! I'd love one, but the ones I can afford are rarer than rare... Lovely car, enjoy it! :)
