On the wrong side of the water to the majority of you guys but I find myself floating around this site more than the local ones to me. Anyway, been lurking on here for ages, started with toyota 4x4's while I got through my probationary stage of my drivers license and then moved up to a 240sx, single cam Ka24e, little torque house with no top end. It was fun, bought it stock, did coilovers, adjustable suspension arms, subframe collars, z32 brake swap on all 4 corners, 5 lug swapped the rear, 2-way diff, short shift, one piece driveshaft, paddle clutch, seat, steering wheel, header, decat pipe and a 3.5 inch HKS exhaust really opened her up. Messed around with it for a while, bought 5 lug for the front and a drunk driver t-boned it the same day. Guess it was never meant to be full 5 lug

    day I brought her home

And looking a tad sorry for herself by the end of it
    post-1961-0-27852000-1403692404_thumb.

Right-o, moving on, insurance paid me out quite nicely for the car, And i was able to keep it as salvage title to strip down to a bare chassis. I went out and found myself a nice clean stock example of an r32 sedan, a car I had always wanted but never really had it in me to part with the s13 to get one.

Here's the car when I picked it up, all standard apart form a blitz turbo timer, old seized tein front coilovers and the AVS model 6's

    post-1961-0-93756200-1420861399_thumb.

I slowly started to move parts over form the wrecked s-chassis to the new car, The 2-way diff, made up some new seat rails for the bride seat, steering wheel and hub boss made its way over. The rear coilovers and r33 GTR wheels I had kicking around too

Did a little drifting, had a little crash, my bad :wack:

    post-1961-0-42893100-1420861657_thumb.

started work on the s13 non hicas subframe, old bushings and hicas crap was all shot so I couldn't have any of that!
Burned the bushings out, replaced with SPL solid risers, Fit the knuckles with energy poly bushings, Fit all my isis adjustable arms and dropped the car down onto it. what a difference that all made. Drove like a whole new car!

    post-1961-0-85293600-1420862346.

by this point I had already changed my front lower arms to s14 for a touch wider track, but seeing as I wasn't happy with the lack of aggression the front had I opted to extend the stock arms 1.5 inches, and changed to a type M bumper cover and GTR lip. Installed a set of PBM coilovers in the front to get rid of the old teins and wound them right down.

comparison shot, s14 up top and extended r32 on the bottom:
    post-1961-0-60196600-1420862519.

After having another little bumping into with a curb I managed to bend just about everything in the front end of the car, so I'm now running an s14 lower arm extended 1.5 inches for a total of roughly 2 inches wider track off either side, along with an s13 180sx rack, solid steering bushing and PBM solid rack relocation bushings.

the front lip and no other aero wasn't sitting right with me so I snagged some uras replica skirts from a local importer and a DMAX roof wing. Can also see I managed to bash the majority of the damage out of her,
    post-1961-0-10519000-1420862437.

Went and saw a local race car tech who got all my wheels pointed in the right direction!
    11005189_1446099702302172_838167524_n.

Had the aero parts painted but I couldn't quite deal with the lack of a rear bumper, and while not being huge on the available aftermarket for these cars I opted to go with a nice top secret replica diffuser.

that just about brings us up to date, Sorry if it's a little jumbled and hard to read, just catching up to go from here!

Little update. The gtst hood lip wasn't doing it for me so I sorted that out, a while ago I picked up some n1 non projector headlights as the projectors in these cars truly do suck, and not to mention look crap in my opinion. Found the new front wheels on the local classifieds, unsure of what they are and would be curious if anyone has any ideas, only have the pair and would love 2 more to complete the set.

Finished my first real track day with the car this last monday. Car ran and drove flawlessly for the first 3 hours of practice, however as all good things come to an end my e-brake had started to only lock one wheel resulting in a snapped rear axle 45 minutes before qualifying. Didn't manage to source out a replacement i time so the car spent as much time on a jack as it did on the track. Can't wait for the next track day in august!

the culprit to ending all my fun:

a friend of mine has a ton more pictures from the event he's neglected to upload as of yet, but I'll toss a couple more up as they come up

found a couple pictures and managed the spot from someone that dropped out of an event tomorrow, hopefully less axle carnage and more qualifying this time round.

With the capital drift comp season over, maaaaybe this thing will get a break from being beaten on (but probably not)

After installing some modified knuckles courtesy of Mr. Steve Ham, and relocating my rack about an inch forward with a subframe I modified myself at school, the over centering issue is totally solved. Along with having zero or damn near to it ackerman angle which made the car drive great this past monday. Carries more angle and speed than ever. The only "downside" is that I had to run a 25mm spacer to gain clearance for the trailing wheel on full lock, resulting in having to run -8 degrees of front camber, so the car looks really aggressive from the front, dang.

On Monday, after qualifying and making the top 32, I won the first round against Tyler Younie, probably because he accidentally launched in third and gave me a huge lead on his chase run. But hey, I'll take it. In the top 16 Derrik in his te72 corolla kept on me way tighter than I could and understandably took the win. This was easily the most fun I've had at any event yet, pulling third gear into the bank for the first time and have ZERO issues with the car. Deleting all my un used AC parts such as the compressor and condenser seem to have opened up the air flow to my rad preventing the car from over heating like it has been all year. The biggest downfall being my used rear tires delaminating after about 3-4 laps per pair. Fortunately Dan Cormier came through and let me buy a pair of his unused traingles and run them on his r33 wheels for the rest of the day, which reeeeally didn't help my regret for selling my set.

All in all it was a great day with lots of good friends from all over.

Long while since I've updated, cars still going strong, changed up wheels a bit with 18x10+35 Gram lights in the back and 17x10 +18 enkei RPF1 in the front. enkei's didn't last long before I blasted one on a curb entering too tight and then a while later the other one when I debeaded a tire at the top of third gear at a recent drift day. Fit a BN sports replica ki, front bumper got blasted into pieces at the same time as the enkei though so it's in the trash :( Back to type M and GTR lip up front it is. Should really toss the rear bumper on soon. As far as engine goes all I've done is fit LS2 GM truck coil packs as I was beyond tired of failing Nissan items. Absolutely greneaded my trans shearing 5th and reverse clean off the shaft, so i converted to a Z32 box using an rb26 bellhousing, custom 1 piece drive shaft and an ACT 6 puck sprung clutch. Worked great til I seem to have already crunched the third gear synchros in it

    Anyhow a few pics

Surprisingly no hassle from the police at all even being there for hours on end some nights.

Crashed into another car and blew out my headlights which really sucks as replacement cost on N1's is fairly high. but I made do with some offroad lights I had picked up for my old toyota 4x4. Picked up some east bear s13 aero mirrors and painted them. Got bored and attacked the rear quarters with a mini sledge and a ball peen, needs an alignment so I can finish off shaping them and do a skim of filler to smooth it all out. After a friend of mine decided to make mention of the fact that the car was so clean and nice when I bought it I decided to throw a before and after shot together just remind myself of how awful of a person I am and why I cant have nice things.

At least I get to skid her tomorrow :D

LOVE the build man! Exactly my type of doing things, being inventive instead of wasting money on expensive parts! Great style, fitment and use of the car
