I've lasted a week back in UK and brought another drift car.Locally an MX5 Mk1 1.8 popped up. After 1,5 year not going sideways, I was back on track :D.I had early 1.6 before, so well happy with that.

    Last year I've sold my E36 323i Weapon and a fresh e36 328i half prep'd.

[IMG]My other half organised it, I've prepared her 80 series Toyota Land Cruiser.
We were the support team for a marathon runner and her fella on a bicycle. Emma ran almost 4000km coast to coast of Africa, over 3 months.[IMG]We've spend 4,5 month and did 15000km/9000miles in all possible terrain (apart snow/ice).
    An amazing charity expedition. [IMG]

Slowly getting ready for Buxton, sadly non of my bucket seats fit in a Mx5. Standard seats are staying for now, so I did "Foamology" to them. After that it was time to make the harness bar and a boss for my old steering wheel.
May not look great but works great :)

Had that steering wheel for few years, been on my old Mx5 as well

    And then that

Finally it was ready for some sideways action.
With my mates new project: MA70 Supra 3.0 Turbo Manual :)

    Buxton WOOP WOOP

Massive thanks to Magic for helping me get there on Sat.

At the beginning I was bit rusty but I was loving it.

I even found my old drift button, first time I was actually using a handbrake in an Mx5. Never bothered in the old one.

Bags of seat time, sometimes staying on the track till tyres blow out

Massive thanks to the staff, marshalls and other drifters. After 1,5 year not being out I could not ask for a better weekend then this one. Nice one for an amazing weekend guys and hope to see you all next Buxton.

Got few things knocking about for it, just need to time to out them on.
I will chop springs a bit later, can't go to low(stupid driveway).
Not planning any eBay specials and decent stuff is too pricey to put on this car.

As the MX5 is just a drift toy, it don't get too much time spend on it.
Got few other projects entertaining me, but if I can I'm happy to do stuff to it.

Been to my mates place recently and found some RX7 FD seats :), standard ones don't hold you in place.
Can't wait to sort rails out and have them in.

I've dig out some old r.bumper skirt and gave it a lick of paint
    [IMG]

    Zipties FTW (perfect colour match)

Got some Bmw E34 side skirts knocking about, need to trim and fit them. They need to wait for now tho.
Been doing wheels recently, Supra's wheels suck badly and my daily looks to boring. Loads of sanding, priming, painting etc.
My mate had a bodyshop for few years, I was doings stuff there with them teaching me.
It's kind of different when you do it alone(and make mistakes), begin was a struggle. If you don't try yourself you wan't learn.

RH Zw1 splits for daily, JapanAugust for the Supra
    [IMG]

I didn't had a turn table for spraying wheels so decided to do one :D
Axle stand, random spacer, wheel bearing, jubilee and ducttape woop woop

eBay specials are still a hell of a lot better than cut springs. When I got my e36 it was on cuts and when I changed them to eBay special Ta Technix coilovers it made a huge improvement to how the car handled. Honestly they're great bang for buck

I fully agree with you on that, coilovers are a nice upgrade. Don't know if you had a chance to drive a standard or modded Mx5. Mx5 are good enough as standard, without coilovers, turbos etc. My last one was on Spax suspension and later HSD's (they are amazing).
This one is a missile with ALL expenses spared LOL.
I would rather put nice stuff on my other project then that.
This car puts a massive grin on my gob without breaking the bank, It's brilliant :D

Last month I did another two days at Buxton, that weekender Buxton's Wall claimed many victims.
Car was faultless, I've made mistakes...shit happens :D

    Saturday afternoon this happend:

    Aftermath:
Lower wishbone, brake flexi, BBS alloy all shot.

At this point I've start looking for bits to get it fixed. There suppose to be a rainy sunday so I really wanted to get the car fixed while it was dry.
Drive to Wrexham got me the bits I needed (nice one lads). I got back and stayed till late with my GF tinkering with the car.

Sunday morning was bit rainy, after a short night in the car it was time to get prepared.

    Action shots

Ones we start getting out on the track weather got better. You still had wet patches and slippery places.
Had a slight bump with one of the lads that spun out in front of me.

    Then it was competition time

After pushing it bit to hard, I've under steered into the wall.
This time I've fcuked the O/S/F wishbone, flexi etc...

That ended my day, car wasn't driftable any more :/
    [IMG]

It was time to get the car to pits and start packing.
There were some amazing battles in the comp that day.
