So im Jenkins from Perth, Australia and I bought this Strawbs because why not. It was gross I'm not gonna lie, it had rattle can missmatching gold paint, the headlights were cable tied on and also holding the fenders together. Plus a red, blue, gold and black interior theme. Don't ask me why but i loved it , I was planning to keep it like that and drift it... {} {} But that lasted a week before I got over the missile look and wanted to clean it up. I may aswell rock the S13.5 so I got a new bodykit, ducktail lip and bonnet. {} {} Then to slap on no other than Bayside Blue {} {} {} And got some Rota Grids, they're too cheap brand new not to. I got my license back a day after that so I got to drive it legally for the first time since owning it. Absolutely buzzing. {} {} {} It was great until that night I floor it going onto the freeway and lost a cylinder . Drove 50kms flat foot in 5th doing 60km/h to get into the rac towing range . Not gonna lie she took it like a champ. So I dropped her off at the shop and bought a S14 halfcut to swap into mine. A week later and shes back on the road to test her new notchtop heart... {} Lasting 2 weeks this time to then get yellow stickered by the friendly boys in blue, free advertisement for them I guess {} She just sat there really not doing alot besides collecting dust for a few months until I pulled my finger out and got back into it. I Got over the strawbs alot quicker than I thought so I ripped all that off. The rad support was cut up by the dodgy front conversion so I needed to replce that. {} I went and got myself a donor for pennies {} I cut the rad support off that and cleaned it up to bolt it into place until I got the Fenders, Bonnet and lights so I could line it up and weld it cleanly. While I wait to find them stripped all the interior and pulled out the carpet. I grabbed a roll off carpet and glued that in from the firewall to the taillights. {} And bought new interior bits and strut brace, still waiting on seats. {} {} Finally got the oem fenders and bonnet so I dived straight in and fitted them. I then painted my intercooler and pipes black just to see how it looks. I'm defiently a fan. {} {} Now to plan where I'm heading with this build properly and start heading in the right direction with it.
I will say this build is alot less funner while being a first year apprentice but I can't say no one warned me. Just doing little bits and pieces while I get some money together, so I got these headlights and covers. {}
I thought that every time I passed a 180sx. I'm planning on doing some rewiring to this Silvia so the battery is going straight into the boot. I'm really unsure if I like how it sits like this. {}
I really haven't done alot with her at all lately, I did find a bumper for now and have just been cleaning up here and there. Mostly having fun with black paint... {} {}
Naked popups looking the goods lurking in the dark haha {} I went and got a Walbro 255 pump, don't need my old one buzzing in my ear anymore. {} And well here it is, my bodykit has arrived but i wasn't home to collect, I guess it can wait till tomorrow so for now here's a interior pic. {}
Cheers woocash, so the bodykit came and i immediately went off and test fitted it. Will slap the skirts on tomorrow aswell {} {} (Supermade and Rocket Bunny combo)
So with the skirts fitted I'm pretty happy with how the exterior is looking for now. I can defiently see that I am heading in the direction i want with the exterior. I'm now going to turn my attention to the interior, starting with that filthy crusty dash I had to look at everytime I sat in the thing. {} {}
Looks so much better, i like strewberry faced 13s but that for some reason didnt look good. Liking how this is comming along.
After buying the toolbox I've been chasing for work and filling it with Kincrome sets, I went and bought the daily I have been hunting for 9 months. 1992 BMW E34 525i wagon {} {} {} {} Hopefully keep this a stock reliable little daily driver that handles like new with 350,000kms on the clock. Back to the 180 and I drove it into work on a permit to get the rad support lined up perfect and spot welded together. Honestly forgot what this car felt like to drive. {} {} {} And then to completely strip the front end and get the rad looking fresh. Picked up a welder for a steal and got to work with the many, many hours to come. {} {} While im doing all that work, I thought to go the whole way with whole bay so I started to strip and tuck the loom. I now want to remove all unwanted compoments and try to keep it as clean as possible. {}
Nice work so far! Now to be honnest with you, the car was at its best moment when it was blue with the S15 front end, absolute beauty! I can appreciate the work you put into it, but i'm not a fan of the actual front bumper which gives in my opinion some kind of a sad face to the car, you know? I'm still in for more!!
Man I love honest opinions and I do see what you mean, It defiently gives the sad face especially with the popups. I just love the smooth lines of Supermade kits and how clean they look
And here we have a wireless engine bay. Yet to sort how it's going to work. {} But I got the wiring diagram down on paper so I can edit how I am going to go about this whole thing. {}
