Hello guys , Am new here ,so be patient with me. Okay so I wanted to start a drift project and was looking for a silvia s14 for a longer tine. I found many but were out of my budget ,. Long story short, a garage guy said he has a r33 gts only body shell(no engine,no gear ,steelies rims ) for sale . The body was clean and stock with a fresh paint. Finally bought it home in recovery ,it needs to be cleaned though. So guys this is where I need your help .How should I start the project ? Engine first or other parts like coilovers and things? And about the engine ,my plan is to put rb25 Neo first as it's cheaper that 2jz here . So that I can learn to control first with low power and later 2jz. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated .
Buy a RWD car that is road worthy, weld the diff, then learn to drift it... MX5 19K AED Keep the Skyline shell as a 'project' car. Ian.
What Blackett is saying is that since the Skyline is a long term project, you should buy some cheap rwd car you can skid in the meantime. All money + work and no driving fun is the most frustrating way to carry on a build.
thanks for clarifying bro. but currently no budget for another car. haha but whatyou said is true , no fun plus long waits
Coilovers not essential (at this stage) so engine would be a good start. If you're going for an RB25 Neo you're gonna need the ECU too. Ian.
plenty places in dubai u can get running gear from. go down to the breakers yards in ras al khema(not sure on spelling) better still theres loads of fresh imports that come in.. easier and cheaper than a project K
there are place to get running gear in Sharjah as well. Imports that come in have a crazy price tag here.
hello guys , so finally got a set of rims . It was hard to find some decent 4 bolt rims. Got Works Emotion 17" Rims Will be uploading more after the fitment.
The r33 has 4 stud hubs? I thought they were all 5 stud? Does the shell still have the wiring loom and interior?
