Someones gotta get lucky, unfortunately it wasn't you.

I still can't really believe how cheap it was!

It'll be put to good use, don't you worry!

Don't bother with the turbo thing Trent, no point what with you having the S14. Though I do possibly know of a turbo kit going... it's single vanos though.

    Super bargain, fair play.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. In a year or so I'm sure I'll be bored of SR's though and then I'll be wanting to RB25/1JZ/2JZ it in which case it's probably cheaper to turbo the BMW! Even just getting a stock RB25 into the 200 is going to cost £2500 or more at standard power.

    Anyway, it's not getting turbo'd! ;)

Keeping cheap and cheerful! This is non vanos being a K/92 reg? M50B25? Not M50B25TU?

It's single vanos, look at the cams. Much like VVT on your S14 it's got a big bump on one side.

    ---

Whipped the ecu out to check what it was and if it was standard.

Have a chip is being ordered / coming to put limiter up to 7,000 (from around 6,000) and should push it to 212 bhp / 262 nm.

All for the grand total of £60!

Changed the air filter, decided on a panel for the minute but will probably swap out for a large cone at some point.

    Fitted my End Tuning chip.

Changed the spark plugs, 5/6 were covered in oil, never seen this before but isn't apparently uncommon. Obviously a lot of oil dropped into cylinders when I removed the old plugs.

Also cleaned the sunroof glue/gunk that remained after taking the lining off.

Changed the oil last night, the old stuff was pretty bad and the oil filter was disgusting, well needed/deserved oil change I think!

Went for Castrol GTX 10W-40 Part Synthetic which was £13 for 4L at Asda.la

Shame the magnetic sump plug wouldn't thread in.

    Also fitted a boss.

    Quick release.

Fake OMP steering wheel (which isn't round at the top, never had problem with fakes before but this is bad).

Also found an old radio for it, just need a harness/adapter.

Got around to fitting my generic £140 eBay coilovers last night.

Feels sooooooo much better to drift now! Might go a tiny bit lower yet.

Front tyres scrubbed the helper spring but luckily had some 5mm spacers lying around so put them on the front!

    Cheers mate.

    - Hydro needs fitting.
    - Hubs need cutting/welding.
    - Steering arms need fitting.
    - Lower arms need cutting and extending 30mm.
    - Cats need cutting out.
    - Need to source and fit a bucket seat.

Still a fair bit to do!

It still feels pretty gutless compared to my Nissan So not really sure what else I can do other than the above!
