Bought this a few weeks back, having had an R33 1jz in thepast and the last few years owning and having gotten built a few pretty decentspec e36’s it was time for a change…… First weekend I got the car took it up to the Scottishperformance show after spending a few days just in general giving it a goodclean as the wheels were really bad. Then the next week I was supposed to be using my e36 atDriftland but lost interest in it knowing I had this in the car park so out it went Cheesing its everything I thought it would be skids mint. It’s a big bus andhaving never really skidded a turbo car will take a bit of getting used to Issues that need sorted : Diff is knocking pretty bad fromone of the mounts so the lads at chizfab will get onto that when they havetime. Rear anti roll bar bracket is non existence so that needs addressed, Hatethe gearknob so its going and my main issue is is not easy to get into without a crunch. Suspect syncros so keeping a look outfor another R154 to change it out at some point Bit of a spec list below I was using it for a week on theroad but its too crashy with the fibreglass so drift car it definatly is from now on Colour is a bit marmite will see about maybe changing it at some point Engine: 1JZ VVTI HKS Suction metalintake pipe Greddy Hybrid Turbo Trust GreddyInduction kit Blitz Front MountIntercooler Koyo Alloy Radiator Uprated Alloy Pulleys Blitz Dual SBC Boostcontroller Apex Power FC withHand Controller Sard Sports Cat Trust Greddy Exhaust Drivetrain: R154 GearboxShort Shift Toms Diff to FloorBrace Cusco Type RS LSD Twin Plate ORC 409DClutch Handling: Front GP Sports GMaster Coilovers with Swift Springs Rear HSD Pro Coilovers Cusco Front Upper Camber Arm JZX110 Front TensionRod Aftermarket 326Knuckles Aftermarket Tie Rods Toms Arm Set Toms Front and RearMember Brace Ikea Formula RearArms TRD Front Anti RollBar DoLuck Internal FloorSupport Bar Project Mu Brake Disc Exterior: Respray in Riviera Blue BN Sports Body Kit D Max D1 Spec +30mmfender Custom Rear FenderFlare D Max Led Tail Light CCW LM20 Wheels Interior Bride Front Seats Dildo shifter Usual Jzx100 carbondash/window motors No dash lift
Seeing this makes me want a JZX! Should think about doing the bmw box conversion. I am going to when I have the money. Plus its a lot cheaper if a box does go on you! Defo need a wee sit in this one lol
This has been in aberdeen prior, always loved it. Now it's getting drifted it looks 100x better Look forward to updates and no doubt seeing it on track!
I followed the previous owner on IG for the last year. So it's wicked to see it finally skidding. Be interesting what you do to it to make it look even better!
Bit of an update alot more happening over next few weeks Origin Labo rear fenders and door extensions. Should work well with the D-Max front wings. Origin labo rear window spoiler. Managed to get spoiler and the fenders from Irelandso was cheesing Carbon pixels Ducktail all the way from Russia Garage Moon front floor mats from the states a new company but they are very high quality. Managed to source a carbon bonnet off my mate who is selling his car at the moment so done a px with my bonnet repainted in his colour going the other way so again saved me waiting time on parts from Japan Complete tear down as A lot of plans for the winter months Bit of a tight squeeze where it was parked up for the rest of October. Vincent of T Works has been working away with a few ideas on the livery/colour for me, Although its roughly the colour i will be looking at mines will have alot of pearl through it something he can't really add in the design. Managed to get a bit of time at the bodyshop and in next door on a ramp to start stripping down the chaser for going into shop mid December. Bonnets swapped over, also removed alot of bracing. Thats basically where i left it before i came back offshore
sweet, I used to live next to the previous owner. Very well cared for in his hands so you go to a good one! Looks so at home on track, good stuff
the render looks minted! I am wanting to do a deep purple colour on the JZ46, need to get using it first haha!
More updates things started moving forward as the car is now in the shop with Kyle@Chizfab My CCw the front one that had a crack all welded back up by Kyle and the CCW's back on the car. Then it was get the ride height sorted with how low Kyle thought would work. I wanted it as low as possible on the coilovers we have already, and tyre choice sorted going with a 235/40/18 on an 11j.Kyle also ordered up hard race lower camber arms, traction arms and toe arms. So time to get the lows and the arches cut down ready for the tubs to be made. I am delighted at this height 40mm drop at the rear and we will go for another 20mm at the front. Door panel test fitted Then spoke to my paint supplier and got organised with the most important part the new colour A good bit more work was done yesterday, Kyle is now just waiting on the arms from Hardrace to sort camber and see if i am actually going to be able to run these wheels, or bite the bullit and go bigger. Once the camber is sorted Kyle thinks we will be cool with them as is so shall see. Rear fenders and door extentions fitted properly. Rear arches fully tubbed, so if a tyre explodes drifting my fibrglass in theory should not. i am delighted just to be removed as i am painting the car and fenders seperate as we have a little sneaky plan for what will be holding them back on after paint Ducktail again test fitted and think it works well with the line Thats where it is up to just now
Yes doors will still work as normal mate All the photos I have been sent by Kyle are in the thread. Will have more once the fenders are removed again to be prepped for paint
Just logged onto the PC and can see all the pictures now. Some weren't working on tapatalk. Looks amazing!
