Not much longer and you'll have to change the thread to 'sorry, I'm 17'

Great stuff.

I have wondered if the french police really were that gay since I saw 'Taxi' and 'Taxi 2'. Now I know!

I think the best option for building your engine might be to take the block crank and eagle rods to an engineering shop, they will measure the crank journals and con rod/main bearings and can then grade and order the correct bearings.

Its the kind of thing you can do at home if you have the right equipment, but often quicker/cheaper to take it there and get it sorted.

Why do you need an oil pump and a water pump if the engine is running fine?

Who says "it works fine"?This car will be for drift not for mall shopping man.In drifting the engine is vrey hard used(i don't know exactly the corect word) and needs very good cooling.

Yeah i'm fully aware of that, my S14 has 150,000 km on the clock. But you can't replace everything that migth brake, otherwise you need a new car... if it's not broken why fix it?

Rather get a oil temp gauge, an oil pressure gauge an a water temp gauge. If there is a failure in the cooling system the gauges will tell you.

Fail. Upgrade to avoid it breaking in future and causing more money and time to repair damage that could have easily been avoided.

If your waiting until the gauges tell you the cooling system has failed then its too late. The damage has been done. Damage which again, could have been avoided had you not being a skinflint and built the car properly to start with.

never touch a running system - is what i always use to say.

BUT if spend thousands of euros / pounds on engine, suspension ... why not spend some quid for new pumps. i would replace them too if i would build an engine like koukibay is doing.

nice project, i like project threads like this keep on coming pics

Martin
