Hi guys Been on here ages but not posted much tbh Thought I'd show my first drift car (well car for doing skids round cones atm) 2002 lexus is200 sport Stripped out Omp seats harnesses and steering wheel BC coilovers Geo was done but I think it needs changing on the rear as it's too much camber atm Random dare gram light reps up front Various rear wheels depending which have tyres on Ive not done a drift day in it yet I was supposed to in April but it decided to not wanna run so I took my supra Had a blast but after spending the summer doing car shows I wanna rape this thing now not the supra haha Hoping to get a few days done end of this year at pod
Have you done anything to the supra buddy? Any worth while mods? I've a mk3 aswell that I was gonna use for drifting.
Nothing at all fella It's totally standard on 22k mileage So I don't wanna mess with it tbh It didn't miss a beat all day even standard for the level I can drive at
Jeez that is serious low miles! I've 68000 on mine and thought it was low and too good to fuck with. Is yours turbo manual?
Both the supras are NA unfortunately But at the mileage I couldn't turn the black one down And the white was 300 quid with a blown head gasket so is all the spares I'll ever need (and a w58 box ready for if I slap a 1uz in the is200)
theres a dude in ireland that does adaptors for the 1uz to the standard 6speed is box. im tempted for that on mine. love a mk3 though. i think mine had 120,000 on it when i owned it 14 years ago!
Me and my friend are putting in a 1uzfe with r154 at the minute aswell. It's pretty easy, wiring took the most time so far and still have to make a remote shifter. There is a guy on ebay at the minute seams to be sellin of all thors old stock.
Peterpan the altezza does yes but I have an is200 which is a 1gfe Ryan thanks for the heads up on those bits being sold off But it's way too soon for me to be buying engine swap parts yet I'm a cnc machinist by trade and have done fabricating and machine work since I left school so I'm sure I can knock somethinG up haha
Oh cool, I think you can buy the drawing for the adaptor plate too. Thatll save you a fortune when the time comes. What have you done for your diff?
It'll be going on a w58 I think anyway as they're slightly more robust from what I've read and I have a spare one Diff wise atm I'm using the standard LSD but I'll be getting an open different to weld up in the new year I would sooner but I'm paying for a holiday atm
Random pointless update I bought new wheels Hoping to book onto a dwyb in November with one of my mates Fingers crossed lol
Got myself a pass for pod on weds so finally get to take this on a proper day Can't wait Got a set of good Michelin and a set of brand new nankangs for the day aswell Also I bought advans the other week And I realised I don't have a pic of my seats in here either
Wow, advans look awesome on this! Very interested in how it handles 3rd gear if you've attempted yet?
Thanks man It was a random choice on the advans but they look so killer on it I think I've only really played in the pens and did 2 runs in the kidney I'm not convinced Itud have the grunt to stay in a 3rd gear skid without a lot of kicking On 18s at 45 psi it struggles in 2nd a bit :/
After nothing for months here's another update Cars had a few more changes Biggest for drifting is a welded different with a 4.1 auto FD on So 3rd gear is pretty possible now It was at a wet pod anyway I found 18s caused a few issues as it's either 205 or 225 tyres so mad stretch or scrubbing so I ditched the advans and got some BBS reps in 17s And some advan av11?? I think as drift wheels And I'm running KFD rear arms in the car now too Anyway Pics The flooded track claimed my bumper :/ And a scene one with all 4 BBS reps on
