    Alrite everyone
    Here is my Drift Story....
I try to keep this page up dated as often as I can but feel free to follow me on social media as well.

Im fairly new to drifting but not to cars or Motorsport.

My Lexus is pretty standard at the moment other than a welded diff, HSD coilovers. bucket seat and a hydro.

If anyone has any helpful advice to help with the car or learning that would be great

Ive always had a soft spot for these cars, yours looks pretty damn sweet too, pretty much all the spec you need for drift IMO.

The tip I'd give would be to just go out there and do as many as you can while your car works, don't do what I'm doing and just constantly working on the car without getting a chance to drive it, but hey, I like working on my car more than driving it. So it's up to you.

Great base! Guessing it's a Beams?

Just keep your speed up and don't be afraid of putting 50psi+ in the rear tyres. Try avoid using the hydro as much as possible, will just slow you down

Big track tomorrow. Get on it.
Big track can be a bit intimidating, I went out in in my standard compact, tried to go too fast, ended up backwards on the grass for ages. Bit scary.
But because crail is like the surface of the moon driftland is 1000x better, so smooth and so fast once you get confidence in yourself and the car.

    Cheers Andy

ye Everyone telling me i need to get to Driftland as thats the best placed to learn. I still have so much to learn.

Just fitted a quicker rear diff from an automatic so that has made it easier to get the wheels spinning .

As for oil pressure and temp, best to get an oil filter sandwich plate and block off the oil cooler ports. No point in really fitting an oil cooler yet, not until you're hammering it enough that oil temp becomes an issue and then you've got half the job done for you.

Google "1g-fe oil filter sandwich" and see what other people have made fit. I can't imagine they're a hugely popular item for such a car but maybe a 1j one, or something similar, might fit

PS - a quick search looks like it's a generic size so get it confirmed and grab one :)

    Cheers for the reply Ben.

Ye i have looked at a couple places where i can take feeds from was just asking if anyone on here had done it before.
I already have a Mocal Oil cooler, pipes and sandwich plate but haven't fitted them yet. as you say im not quite beating on the engine that hard just yet.

I have just got myself one of these too, pretty decent cars despite what some people say about them. It's not always about power, plus they are much cheaper than other Japanese cars cars now.
I'll be getting mine ready for next year so I'll likely see you at crail or driftland!
