Ok so as above I came across a cheep e60 with a full a/c schnitzer kit on it,, I had a 1jz lying around.. I decided to buy a 350z gearbox as the bmw gearboxes are too noisy for the road and a r154 are crap and feel like the selector is a spoon in a bowel of soup,,ive been at this a while now and have had to change some things along the way due to faulty parts or not being satisfied with the quality but ill update in the pictures as I go..
next were the injectors,, I got denso 860cc but further down the line on start up these would prove to be chinese crap so were replaced by ford mustang 770cc injectors adj cam gears
Probably the best combo I could think of can't wait to see this finished, will you be trying to keep everything inside the car functioning as normal? whereabouts in Kildare are you? I'm near Kilcock myself
yes the car is running an emu master cambus ecu so all clocks are working,,im in rathangan due to the jz pump being crap I made a bracket and mounted the bmw pump then mounted the turbo onto the kaber performance manifold
the rockers in custom purple and in it went,i marked the chassie to there the bmw crank pully lined and put the 1jz in the same place for weight distribution
I changed the full interior from the terrible grey leather to full black m-sport but couldn't get a black dash,,,, no problem just flock my own with black carpet...roof liner,,and dash with trim in got these custom coil covers made, one for my non vvti and one for a vvti in building for a customer
in place taking shape.. next is all the emumaster ecu goodies including full motorsport grade loom and a pic of the mustang injectors
Nice work What back end / diff are you going to use? What kinda power you going for? Does the e60 weigh something similar to a jzx100 or jzx90?
Thanks. I'm going for around 500hp. It's set up to use antilag .. for the rear end I'm probably going m5 ad it's the only e60 with an l.s.d ...I don't know about weight but most of the e60 is aluminium including chassie legs. Shock turrets... subframes and arms front and rear so I'd say the e60 is lighter
Definetly will have alota people puzzled when it goes by on full chant lol They will be expecting the v10 noise Nota waste gate Definetly a good job Toyota reliability with german comfort What more could ya want
My 530D E60 rolls in at 1540kg so i imagine with the 2j lump it would be simlar!!! Ive considered this conversion when my diesel lump finally decides to nuke itself lol Top work man cant wait to see it making noise!!!!
so I was worried about the bmw rad set up not keeping the 1j cool and there was a lot of pipes attached to the expansion bottle so I fitted an s14 driftworks super cool alloy rad
