    Hi lads and lasses,
Ive decided to get into drifting and purchased myself a million tonne omega.
Currently waiting on the diff getting welded.
Going to strip it out as much as I can as its has all the extras and handles like a bar of soap.
Anyway anyone actually use these as they don't seem too popular compare to cheap BMW's and tips/ criticism is welcome lads cheers.
Will get pics up once I know how to

Have seen a few going round at Arena Essex, one of them a diesel hacked to pieces pickup conversion. Seemed to do fine. Weld the diff and cut the springs if they don't do lowering springs and you should be golden.

Slight update lads. Seen some cheap coilovers from tief tech which I snapped up and when they arrived the were not for an omega, so I resorted to the ghetto way and chopped the springs, Still waiting on the diff to get welded as I can't weld and am struggling to find someone to do it. Anyone here know of someone in the Shropshire area give me a shout.
On the bright side my dished steering wheel fitted (wonky)

I've had a couple of these. One i shared with a mate, we literally only welded the diff nothing else and drifted it flat out for a good 6 months.
Even won a little local comp in it.
The other was a 3.0 with coilys and lock mods etc. Tbf both skidded great and kept running.
Both pissed oil out the rocker gasket onto the manifold but who cares.

I've got one of these and am struggling to find some good suspension, apparently S13 front and golf rear coilovers fit with some modification, need mine that low, looks good!

It's a pain to find relatively cheap coilovers so I cut the springs after some rough measurement and it ended up about right. Very bouncy tho lol

Bit of boring update but sure. Had some time today to get a bit of stripping done [IMG]

Cheap air filter to add some donk to the v6 [IMG]

What's people's opinions on hydros? The standard handbrake works off drums so id imagine it would be ok. Or would I need a hydro to save myself turning up and not being able to do anything and ending up in a wall [emoji848]

Subscribed so I can borrow any good ideas ;)
According to the owners forum (not recommended) apparently adding a filter loses power but who gives a f---!
Like the colour and the lows!

Try servicing and adjusting up the handbrake. My omegas ones worked a bit

Kind of out of ideas now lol. Just got to sort the handbrake and get the freeze spray at the sound deadening. Picked up a 2.0 auto diff for a bit more acceleration.and that's as far as I'll go at the moment id say, maybe a bucket seat so I don't go flying out the window

Mine doesn't lock up and just lets off a loud bang when I pull it so maybe new shoes and a tightening might be in order

I'm just thinking get lots of spare wheels and find somewhere to do some days practicing as I'm a total novice, my handbrake is a bit crap too, only holds on last click but I've never pulled one in anger in a rwd car and I'm a bit too mechanically sympathetic!

Whereabouts are you? There's a bargain set of Saab wheels down south it's still a bit of a journey for me when it's got things needing fixing more urgently
