    180 and Verossa stories

Been hanging around this place for a few years, had a build thread years ago with an old r32 sedan.
Figured i put this up and see what you think...
My partner and I planning to move to London early next year and are keen to get involved over there.
She's British, from St. Albans but i have to apply for Ancestry Visa so hoping it all happens.

Ive owned basically every japanese drifty kinda car but ill focus on the last couple..

This 180 was cool, i do miss it.
Basic setup SR, C's Garage 555 steering, super fun but had been rightly fucked by everyone that owned the thing previously, shitty wiring etc

Then i found this and bought it over the phone...

    01 Verossa VR25, factory 1jzgte vvti, auto.
Its a 'Signature Class' import which Toyota NZ bring in and make nice, sold on their yard for $35K back in 07

Started collecting part while my girl was using it daily.
    Things like:
    BC Golds 18k/12k
    Cusco sways
    Greedy FMIC
    Fenix Rad
    Recaro SR7
    Nardi 330mm
Kazama +25 lca and SPL knuckle which are all solid cast, not cut and welded

Collected all the manual conversion stuff too thanks to Brendan at Convert/Niteparts which included:
R150 from 07 Hilux, has around 40,000km on it, plus 2nd-3rd-4th are slightly closer ratio.
Niteparts 1/2j conversion bellhousing, which adapts R150 and also converts from pull to push style clutch which is waaaaaay cheaper.
All the bits and bobs, factory clutch lines, mounts, shifter etc
Just using a basic Exedy single plate.
    Using Altezza pedal/master setup.

My girl was heading back to the UK for 2 weeks so the plan was to completely fuck the nice daily driver up so she couldn't drive it by the time she got back...

Up on the hoist to install BCs, sways and roll guards so the Origin drf7 18x9.5 +15 can fit
    [IMG]

Gearbox in, had to use an old W series mount slightly modified as the mounting holes on the R150 are different to R154.

Greedy frount must kit and oil cooler kit from Nick at NST all mounted up along with the Fenix rad using factory shroud/fans etc

    Few more pics...

Put in this factory toyota head unit, USB, Aux, Bluetooth etc, straight plug in[IMG]

Went for a skid at the new Club Circuit extension at our local track Hampton Downs.
Car felt pretty gross tbh, i miss my Nissan haha[IMG]

Excited to drive this again with better tyres and a more solid rear end.
We have hired the track again for the 18th September so should be fun and possibly my last drift day in New Zealand for a while...

    All opinions welcomed...

I somehow found you on instagram after I watched the Hampton Downs practice video and you speared off track in the verossa.
The 180 looks cool as, nice colour you finished it in.
I prefer the verossa though, something about them.

Get yourself up to driftland if your spending some time over here.

    Yea thats the one^^
The track is actually quite tricky unless you have a bunch of HP, its deceptively long between the corners through the middle. The entry is boss though, watching Joel and Adam (C's Garage) throw down here is nuts

I fail to see where I said New Zealand was a state of Australia. I was merely pointing out that we was doing the opposite to each other moving from similar areas.
