Opel Manta A 3600 -71 Drift/Street machine, lots of pics. 56K killer Hi everyone, here´s something about my drifter. I reckon it´s better to show something different that you don´t get bored to only Nissans... I´ve had this car for over five years and kept building it every winter faster and drivable (winters in Finland are too long). I´ve used it for drifting for 3 summers and car is pretty good for this sport, this is not exatly a drift car but works for it too... Lightweight car and BIG ,fast revving, naturally aspirated, torque monster engine is very fun combination. Let´s start about how´s it nowadays Specs: Engine: 307hp / 420nm -28S Engine block -Wösnerr pistons -Connection rods and crankshaft from 3.6 litre C36NE Irmcher engine, C30NE cylinder head, lowered and ported flowing aprx 350hp, compression ratio 12:1 -Cat Cams camshaft, 320deg 12.5mm -3x Dellorto DHLA 45 carburators -Custom aluminiun oilpan -Light flywheel -Irmscher oilcooler -Custom radiator -Lumenition ignition with FMI rev limiter -Custom headers and 2x 2.5” exhaust -125hp Nitrous works kit Transmission: -9" BMW´s SRE Racing clutch with copper plate -Getraq 265 5-speed gearbox -3.67 LSD 40% rebuilded, with Steel driveshafts Suspension and chassis: -MAD lowering springs -40mm -Bilstein shock-absorbers in front -GAZ adjustable in rear. -22mm rear stabilizer -Fast steering -Rear axle has watt-link and bushings have replased with unibal´s -Polyurethane bushings at front -Front brakes are 296mm zimmermann discs (vented and drilled) with Brembo calibers -Rear brakes are Calibras zimmermann drilled discs with Astra turbos brake calibers, EBC pads in both, linelock and pressure regulator. -Full rollcage -Schmidt 8 x 15 rims with 205/50R15 tyres Bodywork: -Resprayed with GT/E theme 2003-2004 -GT/E frontspoiler -all factory weldnings strengthened -Everything at chassis sprayed with black urethane paint and axles etc. with grey Interior: -Cobra lether seats -Autogaugen rev- oilpressure, water temp- and fuel mixture meters Other: -Best 1/4 mile 12.88s - 178km/h. And here some more pics, misc. Here´s both my babies (if someone wondered how i ended up here )
OH MY GOSH!!! I want your babies! haha (not literatly) Id take your car though! Personally i think this is the best car ever to have landed in the drift scene! EVER!!! Dude, you can certainly be proud to say that, you own this car! I WANT IT!! Always had a soft spot for the mk1 Manta, but this is something else! Wanna swap a Starion for it
And project part, next winters to do list. -Electic power steering from Corsa B -Engine rebuild, changing C36NE pistons to Wössner forded ones, comp ratio goes from 10,3:1 to aprox 12:1, hoping to get some more bhp. -Rollcage -New seats and belts -Stiffer springs to front and coilovers to rear. -Rebuilding an LSD Pics coming...
Thanks But have to say, you have a point there, i did win Finnish Drifting Championship with that last summer.
awesome! Is it same block as the 24V Omega A? (ie our Vauxhall Carlton GSI) if so, would the 24v head be a good idea?
awesome ! a series's are cool as fuck i used to be like obsessed at 1 point with getting a 400 or the DOT turbo prototype a series
Not good ones, but heres one pic. Charger did already got this "under" the bonnet -> http://www.kopteri.net/koti/mikko.viitala/blower4.jpg And this -> http://www.lateral-g.net/members/musto/rear_pic.jpg is the look that i have in mind for next summer. New paintjob and 17/18 rims. And here´s that Skyline again
That is same block that Omega A 12V, 24V block has some minor differences, 24v is impossible because finnish laws. Allthough that´s not really better than good ported 12V head, lighter it is...
