Like i said earlier........

I wasn't wrong, nowt there so as one of the Hart motors staff had took the cam/cam belt covers home to finish polishing (thanks Ben) i had very little to do, so i started to clean/polish up the wheels that are on the car.

There 3pce Stern Hidonex 8.5x17 and 9.5x17, before i got them, they'd been painted very poorly, i was just gonna use them for cheap skid wheels. I thought i'd see what they came up like though, I mean, it's better than doing nowt LOL..........

How they looked before i started (Please note, I didn't put the nismo centres on LOL).........

After about 45 mins of 120 grit, 240 grit, 320 grit, 400 grit (wet flat) and 1200 grit (wet flat) plus a bit of autosol, this is how one of the rears came out......

to conclude, that is obviously BY FAR the best ever update of a project thread in driftworks history!!!! Meh, i was bored and wanted to do something LOL!

Hopefully Wednesday will show me working on the engine, but parts and cash are a factor at the mo, so you might get another polished wheel haha!

Um, no! LOL!!

Well, only more polishing, i know it's not excactly an update, but i'm proud LOL!

I just want the mechanical bits to arrive so i can start building the engine up again and actually have a proper update.

Even though, massive thanks to Ben at Hart Motors for helping me with the polishing

How did you do the cam cover? Drill/angle grinder flap wheel then finer sandpaper or what?

I'm painting my wheels black but just interested. They are both brilliant jobs - well done!

Mat, I dont think any SSR's would last long with Mattyboi coming round here quite often haha!

Mike, 90% by hand, started off 80 grit, then 120, 320, 400 (wet flat) then 1200 wet flat and finished with a good dose of autosol. It really needed some 800 wet flat, but Colin didn't have any LOL!

We did use the DA on the flat sections, but only with 400 and 1200 grit.

I really need to do the inlet manifold, but i don't want to take it off the engine as i haven't got any gaskets. We'll see i guess LOL!

Nice bit of pimpness there Chunkus! I couldnt be bothered polishing up my minilite rims so just done them all up black, would have only got chipped n f*cked anyway lol! I wouldn't fancy having to re-do my wheels knowing how long it took first time round haha!

Loving the rocker cover though dude! Keep up the good work matey

I remember doing my RB covers exactly like that, in the summer of 2006. Took about 4 hours, lol

Nice work - shiny things are good

I would like to borrow your arch roller still, but you're actually quite far away from me. Does it belong to Hart Motors, and if so I guess there's no chance of you posting it?

Hey Jeff,

Luckily the young lads at art motors have helped alot, I reckon i'd of ended up matt blacking them if i had to do it by myself haha!

The arch roller belongs to me, its on lone next week, but your welcome to it the week after? I personally don't like posting it, mainly if it gets lost and it's expensive to do a recorded/guaranteed post on a fairly heavy item.

I might need-a-tron it at somepoint too fellarrr. I rolled my passenger side arch after hitting an armco, and now it looks wonky compared to the driver's side lol.

Because I cant drive the 200, it'd cost me a full tank of petrol to drive to Leicester and back twice (once to come and get it in the week, then again to bring it back after I've used it), that's £60

I remember Sammy saying he wanted his arches doing aswell - so maybe I could come and get it, do mine and his cars, then he can bring it back to you. I'll send him a PM if you're ok with that plan?

Sorry for the slow reply, Yup man, thats cool. It's out this week, but coming back to me next weekend. So anytime after then, although, I need to finish my arches pretty rapido aswell haha!

Update??? No, not really!!

Although, good news!! I now have HKS throttle body gaskets and HKS inlet manifold gasket in my possession, also some M's, by K&N filters and fittings (thanks to Garage-D), also on Monday, I've been told my ACL race series main bearings and shells will be here! wooooooooo yeaaaaah!

To celebrate the momentous news that some engine work may actually happen next week, i polished the CAS unit Bwuahhahahha!
