We got a crank back in last night. Still got all the ancilleries to get back together and a load of other work as well, but that's a big job off the list.

I did a burnout ..

I've just called it an early night. The engine runs, and with the new crank and bearings, it sounds sweet.
We were going to be getting it mapped tonight, but Steveo's S14 2JZ has had it's fair share of problems on the dyno at Westons today (I know that feeling all to well dude ) so it's a no go .

So, mapping is tomorrow at 4pm, giving us a small window tomorrow morning to get the car compliant with EDC regs, by finishing the safety stuff like tow hooks and the wiring to the fire extinguisher etc. I've just aligned the car with a tape measure, and it propped up on 8 spare wheels (doing a mini burnout to measure tyre contact patch ), and the idea now is to have the car mapped by the early hours of Friday morning, and to head to Silverstone for the qualification in a car that hasn't driven more than 100metres other than the dyno.. Hmmmmmk, me thinks qualification might be interesting ..

We do have the DW R32 on standby if things go bad at Westons again. But if the S15 runs correctly coming off the Dyno, we will take our chances with whether it actually drifts, and we'll see if I can chance a good qualification lap amongst the likes of Kumakubo and Tanaka when there's only 10 places available into the top 16....... Hmmmmkay ..

I know man, every time I have a problem with this car I feel like I'm letting people down..

I'm not 'expecting' anything as I've been long overdue a break with this car and it keeps slamming negatives in my face. But let's just say, it'd be 'nice' to be at Silverstone the day after tomorrow in this car .
