Lillegud, you have PM

a spraybottle filled with red spirits, white spirits and thinner, all mixed in equal parts. use a active coalfilter mask, latex gloves and a bag of rags.

you can save a lot of money when you are patient. why buy a kit for £1400 when you can get one for under half the price when you just know it'll be smashed anyway? besides you get more practise using fiberglass when getting a cheap kit.
it's also quite interesting getting everything right.

but thanks for the comments, sometimes i feel like i'm wrighting a diary

Nice picture! I agree with what you say about kits but i'd still like a fibreglass one to somewhere near a fit! Im just not going to fit a kit on my car! Spare cars are where its at!
Thanks for the info on the cleaning 'agents'!

what have i done...?

well, i've been talking to my best friend that's helping me build the car, and i had a little talk to lillegud too last night, and well...

i'm taking it to the next level.

out with the original fan

out with the original wireloom

when it's all out, it'll be a custom wireloom and a golf mk1 fan insted.
who knows? i might be getting a little more fun stuff for my car too since i'll have the whole winter to get it ready...

well, not much to say, exept that i hate sound-deadening, but now it's gone

today i've been fitting the new heater.

i found it in my best mates pile, and after i started cutting into it it with a hacksaw i asked if it was okay that i took it

quite pleased with the results

it's even fittet properly

coming tomorrow:
fitting the new bucket seat

When I get the parts properly sorted (done),get the setup right (done) and get the too-much hp Cossie engine project and Audi-headed Volvo partially out of the way...I really need a bigger shop...

Hope you'll never try having pinched nerves in your hands/arms,makes porting etc. a true hell. You cramp up and get numb in no time.. They are the main reason Smokey's engine has taken so much time. But,it's coming... BTW,I'm the engine guy.
