Bmw 535

picked this up with the intention of it being my drift bus.

known it for years n got it cheap cheap!! just a standard 3.5 with Alpina pack bits stuck on really although its a genuine dealer effort.

Hitting crail on sunday so weel c wat shes like, have had the bum out a few times in the dry, and thats with the 265's that are on the back just now.

Plan involves the usual strip, cage, seat,Hydro etc but all in good time. Has an LSD although i am a welded diff fan so weel c how it pans out.

Thoughts of black paint in an ode to bonbons old e36 spring to mind, but everyone seems todo it nowadays, and the coin could be spent elsewhere really.

oppinions, and suggestions please...

Excellent, might be big and heavy but the 3.5 should certainly help it along

They dont feel big and heavy when youre on it, they feel excellent. Which leads me to believe that they aint actually big and heavy, and its more of an optical illusion.

If you ever get rid of those wheels.. I want

e34s are great for drift, and look fabulous when they are sideways!!
also very strong and reliable!

well in the few bits of streeto ive had, id agree with paz it doesnt feel the size it is at all. very controllable it would seem, and most of the stuff i read before buying one sad they were pretty well put together!

checked out the suspension today and they are pucka bilstien efforts, although i would imagine there years of use will show when i get some actual drifting on the go. cant wait til sunday!!!

well did a drift day in her and myself and jeek were really impressed. such a capable car, in serious need of some suspensions but was lots of fun trying to catch the bodyroll in transitions.

plan to get some coilovers for her soon as i sell the e34 touring ive just mot'd.

£500 years mot PM for more details itl be in the forsale bit soon.

ANYWAY

very happy with the luxury barge and the m30 POWAAAAAAA

I dont think 5 series slippers pull half as much money as 3 series stuff, more of them fitted as stock and less people modifying lesser models. My e28 one only pulled £100ish. What was the diff like when you drifted it?

I have heard e34's drift really well considering their size, still really want one always seem to end up back in e30's.

yeah i seen an m5 diff go for 50 bucks so myt stay, it works really well just slightly smoother than a welder but i like the welders harshness lol.

see for yourself i was pretty happy with it...

the last one is rude voted drift off the day its an awsome base for a driftcar imo

M30 tyre smoking goodness, legend

My e28 diff was fairly worn but if you have got an ok one and there's no financial benefit of removing it Imo keep it on, especially on a budget drifter.
