Not much to update really, just been scrubbing sound deadning gunk. Its the shittest job in the world!

Should finish that up tomorrow, then ill be relocating the battery behind the passenger seat and fitting the oil cooler/filter relocation kit,

Then off to Alex @ K-Drift for cage and fitting up the KKK tubby on Friday as long as i can get the car registered by then.

Then up to weston's for mapping on the 19th

Awesome, we'll deffo meet up when im back in October

Right update time, feeling very rough this morning after a heavy night on the piss with Alex but here goes!

So im now down in Devon at Kamakazi Drift with Alex who's a top lad, we got straight to work removing the dash, door cards and roof lining ready for measuring up for the cage. So my car is properly naked inside, looking sorry for itself

Then we spent the rest of the day trying to get the bastard standard twin turbo's off. Ive done it twice before on old cars but these were by far the hardest, the nuts were so tight i snapped a spanner
we eventually got them off, and sat the manifold and turbo on there to see where it sits. My god it looks awesome!!

With that on Alex then decided to hack up the front of my car!
But its all good, he's going to mount the intercooler upside down so ive got hardly any pipework. So he's been cutting and measuring all that up nicely.

Other than that, Alex made up a bracket to fit up the wand and i pulled off the rest of the aircon and fitted a shorter belt.

Off to the alloy welders tomorrow to have the intercooler all welded up again so ill update again later in the week

Been pretty busy since the last update so ill try and keep it in order

We decided to wrap the manifold along with the down pipe, and get a blanket for the turbo. Anything to decrease lag

Alex got all the pipework for the cage bent up, and started welding it into the car this evening,

whilst i got everything plumbed up with some silcone hoses, and got most of the shit jobs out of the way like blocking off water lines and useless holes in the brake fluid reservoir

But 160 quids worth of hosing makes the engine bay much nicer, along with a good clean up

Numerous boost sensors mounted

Oil cooler/filter relocator mounted and plumbed up, also note powersteering reservoir relocated,

Also cleaned out the 14 years worth of grime, my god this has made such a difference! I never realised how white it was under it all...

From this...

To this...

The cage will be pretty much done tomorrow, as will the engine bay, hopefully should be able to fire her up for the first time tomorrow

nearly there I also Have made a load of brackets for the coolers and choped the inter cooler up to mount it better. Made brackets to fit the lights back in stronger. Cut the down pipe screamer and waste gate to get the exhaust to fit properly. Blocked up the turbo water feeds. Made the oil cooler pipes. rewelded oil return pipe.

Will has removed the Aircon, ditched the Viscus fan for some nice electric ones, a 16'' sucker and 2 10" pushers. Wrapped heat sheilding tape in all the important places. Replaced the spark plugs. Fitted FPR.

The list goes on we have done a fair few extra bits onntop the original plan but its coming together nicely

Update for today...

The last bit of heat wrap turned up today so i could finish wraping the manifold. 45ft in total and it only just covered it all - just

I could then bolt up the turbo and exhaust for the last time so that side is finished

Also picked up a pair of cam cover gaskets from Toyota as mine were leaking, Alex mentioned that the cams look like new. I got my hopes up thinking they may be something special but to no avail

Alex has also now completed the rear half of the cage, its looking pretty fricking sexual IMO

So we're nearly there, im re-booked in a Westons for Thursday so fingers crossed!
