Updatings! Basically, new suspension. Eibach Pro Street S coilovers, and droplinks, and M3 Evo top mounts. Massive props to two_sheds for lending me the cashmonies to buy them. Massive props also to Jason @ JK Motorsport for fitting them in double fast time yesterday!

One of the old top mounts disintegrated upon removal. The instructions for the kit are also disgraceful and a couple of the bolt holes seem to be misaligned, the workmanship on these coilies dont seem to be as good as the set i had back in 2005.

Pics are rubbish due to the light in the garage meaning the flash was needed.

Front: 17" x 8.5j ET 13 ACS on 235/40s
Rear: 17" x 10j ET15 M3 contour replicas on 245/40s

Reverse side fitted m3 evo topmounts give approx 2.5 degree neg camber (so bon bon says anyways!)

new exhaust still needs modded n fitted.

anyway, the cars looking happier now, although its sitting on the tyres at the back. looks nice for the photos though! Next week - replacement of the doors.

NOW she is looking savage! M3's need at least 17's... looks evil on 8.5J ET13 front and 10J ET15 rear... I have a set of fake contours in those very sizes, fronts and rears. Need to polish them though!

You will need some decent flarage to run 245/40 on a 10J ET15. But that is very sweet.

What you doing for exhaust? Bin or gut the cats... I hear of up to 20 horse gains on the S50B30 without them.

hehe cheers will, yeah got to say i'm prefering this to the yellow/black 16s that you spoke so frankly of glad to hear you've got matching rims!

yeah at the moment the tyres are sitting on the arches, hopefully soon gonna strike the balance between flare/ride height/tyre profile. The current tyres only have 1.5mm on them so i can try and blast a narrower tyre on in the near future.

For the exhaust, i (well, a friend) has gutted the cats and welded the box up empty, left the little box behind it though. Then this leads onto a scorpion stainless rear section. Sadly its a naff DTM upswept effort but it came up at the right time and price for me, and its in good condition. 20hp gain sounds lovely, but wouldnt want to get carried away! The cat material is incredible - i cant believe air actually manages to get through it!

Yeah, sorting arches is a pain in the ass... I want enough clearance to run 255/40 on a 9J around ET20, but then it looks gash with a 225/45 on. I wish I was rich enough to buy tyres in one size hehe.

Scorpion system is sweet, I have the same only not DTM but it's good kit and works. Have you done owt to the intake yet?

And weigh in the cat material... it's worth loads! No true Scotsman would bin it

haha you're totally inspiring me to leave the arches well alone and run rubbish ET40 rims

nice work on the scorpion, i envy your lack of mid 90's tastelessness. Not done much to the intake, i have a cold air induction kit i've put on my last couple of cars, that takes its sole source of air from piping that leads to where the fog light was on the passenger side. filtratrion might not be fantastic, but the intake temp should be good.

Arghhhh the platinum that i've thrown out, makes me sick!

ET40 is the work of Satan. I still can't understand why all E36 owners don't just buy 5-series fitment wheels. I got cheapo (well, they were before I re-furb'd them) BBS split rims from an E34 on mine. Works good. And looks posh now too.

Yeah, air (and the filter/piping itself) needs to be kept cool... bear in mind than any enclosures will act as heat-soakers rather than heat-shields if not properly isolated. You should be seeing an honest 300 horses, maybe more (depending on whether the chip blows your engine up), when the basic breathing its are done. More than enough to learn those dirty Nissans good...

new car to replace my 328i touring and ford maverick. I've combined the proceeds from them to buy one single car, thus saving on double tax/mot/insurance headaches. I've also kept the ACS wheels too allowing me to put the alpinas from this car on my m3 for drifty wheels with decent offset.

well pleased with the car, its an end of the E34 run model, 525 TDS SE, original paint, every receipt from new with FSH, nice low miles, auto, cruise, original first aid kit n fire extinguisher, just MoT'd and serviced. Should be more than happy towing my m3 about now, the maverick pretty much hated life doing that.

I think its the end of the season for the young lassie in 2007 now, a winter of cold garagings beckons, but hopefully there will be much love to show her between now and february when the drift returns and fulfills my life! here she is as she is bumped off the trailer after the last day

missing a wing mirror

the front bumper had a hard time up the road from teesside as the back ratchet strap broke. Coupled with the damage the previous owner did to it, i think its pretty much scrap now.

missing the rubbing strips and bent wing and doors from an encounter with the barriers at teesside during the british open

check the shutlines on the doors, mmm its all original honest! Chizfab cage is to get beefed up over winter

missing a rear bumper trim, and the diffuser came off too, tho its not damaged. the rear arch has corrostion also. needs flaring and painting.

this sideskirt fell off at knockhill one day, so it needs paint. whole car needs a good cutting back and polishing too, as i clean the tyre marks off with petrol

anyway, poor baby! feel for it at the moment. excited to see it after i've thrown all my worldly monies at it!
