This is fantastic, I'm currently building an SR20DET R32 too (clickatron) and the prop was my biggest worry, so that makes life a million times better.

Great stuff.

Ringer - must have different gearbox mounts on the s14 as mine mounted straight up. Also nice motor you done much else to it?

Did some work today only a little though:-

-Cleaned car as much as I can outside with no windows!!
-Layered some more fibreglass on dash, this was at the back, front will be done ready for paint on Sunday when I work on it again
-Cut the cocked up boot mould and decided I am going to just use it as a boot with a nice light skin and minor strengthening to keep it in place
-Removed intercooler, tried fitting bumper bar and bumper......... bumper bar i bought off of ebay did not fit, the guy says it is from an R32 but i thought all r32s would have the same mounts for the bumper bar??
-Fitted bumper anyway with the help of cable ties
-Fitted headlamps
-Fitted gts-t indicators which dont fit properly on the gtr wings!! anyone got cheap gtr versions??

That is all plus installed large paddling pool in garden 10'x3' :-)

Thanks John

That's the original auto box mount on mine, I'll be sourcing an SR box mount

Motor is nothing special yet, my goal is to get it running first, then worry about reliably uprating power.

Liking your work so far!

my goal is also to get the car running, but I have a lot of work to do to do this, i.e. run new fuel lines and buy & install a fuel cell, install fpr, buy all the fittings for the fuel system.

Then got to sort all of the wiring and i mean all of the wiring it is all pretty much from scratch!!

You should be done first!! Let me know how you get on with the cusco's as i have them also.

Thanks John

fitted the aluminium pulleys apart from alternator pulley as i dont have a big enough socket! Need to get some new belts from a motor factors.

Sprayed the rest of the interior so it is all white now, just needs laquering.

Built up some layers to the fibreglass dashboard, this made it a bit heavier than i wanted but i will sort that out when i shape it and remove the holes for the dials. Gonna spray the dash satin silver so it is a flat colour that doesn't reflect the sun.

Will get some pics tomorrow.

Just purchased the rest of my stage 2 setup i.e. 555cc injectors from ebay.

Thanks John

555CC Injectors are now here so is the GT-R front indicators i have bought.

Gonna buy a power sander tomorrow to finish sanding and shaping the dash. Hopefully then can make a mould and produce a nice light fibreglass or carbon fibre version.

Gonna get electrics installed tomorrow hopefully have indicators and hazards working by the evening!!

Also selling my rear screen so i can get a plexiglass one installed.

Look for an update tomorrow with pics.

Thanks John

Been doing some electrical stuff on the car.

- Run new 50mm2 Positive cable from battery to Ssarter motor & alternator
- Run new switch live for starter motor
- Assemble Indicator & hazard light loom (just need to attach it to the lamps, waiting for GT-R indicators)
- Make new earth for battery
- Make new earth for engine using the bigger 50mm2 cable

Had to clear some of the mess from the garage as space is limited so bought some shelving and placed all of the stuff waiting to go on the car there, loads of room now also put dead rb20det on engine stand so can start stripping and rebuilding that too.

not sure if i could squeeze these both in here as that would be ideal i think both alternator and starter power leads

This is the mess of wiring as it stands right now.

dead rb20det

shelving unit with my to do bits on

Thanks John

Re-routed the power supply to the starter motor today and drilled/tapped the holes for the cable clips.

Re-routed the switch live for the starter, then tested... all worked fine once i had put a good earth on the engine.

Ran wires for front lights through the car to see what the best/shortest route was, now decided and going to clip them in to place tomorrow.

Drilled hole through rear firewall to allow rear light wires to go through. More holes will be drilled into firewall or just a bigger hole to allow for fuel pump as well.

Mounted the 250 anl fuse properly in the engine bay with drilling and tapping the old battery tray area.

Dash still not finished i need some more filler and haven't bought any so once that is done i can use it as a mould for the dash.

Once the dash is done i can properly mount the switch panels, fuse boards, relays and rev counter.

Once that is done i can get the engine wiring done.

And finally i will be getting a flat floor installed in the boot and installing the fuel cell, once the fuel cell is in i can mount the fuel pump and filters and pipe the aluminium fuel pipe through the chassis.

I want to get the fuel pipe through the inside of the car and know i need to do this in one piece or it will be against the regs.

So as you can see i am getting closer to my goal, but still have some big(ish) jobs and money to spend ie boot floor and fuel cell plus fittings.

I am giving myself a deadline of End of October to get all of the above done due to the cost of it all.

Thanks John

Got the indicator and hazard loom sorted today, and fitted new GT-R indicators to match front end.

Ran out of crimps for the headlights so going back to maplins soon to get some, then will complete headlight loom.

Thanks John

Unless you are really clued up which i am not, it takes ages, my main restriction is funds and time to get it done, plus if i had a plan of what i need to do and what i will do it probably would be done by now!!

bought some filler today so going to finish the dash now, then going to get the front and rear lights sorted completely probably apart from the reverse and brake light.

Pics WILL follow later!!

Thanks John

Got the headlights wired up all apart from the sidelights.

Here are the pics of headlights, now are these the main beams? They look like it as they are quite bright, not sure as only really wired that up then made a copy of that loom in the front room for the others plus i cant find the bulbs and am not sure which bulbs go in?

Also layed some more filler on the dash trying to get it flat but the cardboard sagged when i layed the first lot of fibreglass so it is a mess needing lots of filler which takes ages to dry!!

Thanks John

re-fitted the standard dash until i get the new one finished.

Had to adjust some wire lenghts but needed it to sort the rest of the wiring, all to do with having somewhere to mount the switch panels etc.

Thanks John
