ahhh, good point oh wise one
It also depends on where the VR sensor sits on the V8 block too....
I've got a spare wheel here with the top tooth next to the keyway cut off, so I guess between that and another one with the next tooth along cut, one of them will be right...

Well we have a spare (but screwed 1UZ) so it's not a huge prob.

If we start with the wrong one and it behaves the same as when it was on your 1JZ we'll know which tooth to cut, and if it behaves differently we can work it out.
They say measure twice cut once, I say cut early cut often

Just been up there, seems I need a 22mm socket to get it off - which I don't have I'll take a trip to Halfords after work and grab one.

while you're there you may want to invest in a harmonic balancer removing tool to get the crank pulley off if you don't have one already

A 3 leg puller?

Good to see things are occuring Steve, picked up my R154 box on the weekend. Have an exedy clutch and will have a fidanza flywheel in a couple of weeks (I have a standard 3S one but sod that) So I'll be able to chip in on the concentric release bearing maladies when that lands if you've not found a solution yet.. Or I might just try and make something of the W58 fork and pivot, shame the 7M-GTE used a pull clutch. Are you modifying the rush imports headers to suit then?

ideally you want one that bolts onto the centre of the pulley rather than one that pulls on the outside as that's all rubber mounted

Yeah I didn't go for the Rush headers in the end. The bloke at Rush basically said it would cost about the same for me to have a set made here, rather than him making his again. It has done so too

James - wtf is one of them

Great idea if you can find somewhere to pull from thats not the rubber dampened bit (that I have had fall off before without any puller action ) Some pulleys have 2 tapped threaded bits for pulling.

Exactly my point. The centre part of the Toyota pulley has 2 of the 4 holes tapped for exactly this purpose
