Thors adaptor is for the R154 which is handles a lot of power, ratios are okay for drifting (heard the 6 speed is not so good, anyone clarify?) so thats the route I'll be going, dunno bout Dunn ![]() | |

| I can't see... ![]() ![]() | Small update: Bought a R154 last weekend (thanks Talat and Mayur!), am scouring the web urrently to find out what bellhousing/clutch/fly combo I need to go for. Also ordered a complete head gasket set for £50 from US of A. Set up my heavy duty engine stand last weekend, this weekend the V8 is coming out of the LS400 and being inspected to see whats up with it. SteveDunnDMON/1UZFE reference pics - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Reference pics for when we took the plenum off, but you might be interested in it ![]() |

| Ahh Cool man ![]() Are you going to raise the compression ratio at all in the engine? Change the squish etc? Are you just going to lob it in the engine bay or play with the fire wall at all? How are you going to mount the engine? |

| I can't see... ![]() ![]() | We want to make it 12:1, but at the moment concentrating on just getting it in and running. Thought about chopping the firewall about and moving it back, but then decided against, as it's already going to take a long time to get working/running. Engine will be mounted with solid mounts. |

| I can't see... ![]() ![]() | Rads, Paul and Jim came down to work on the project last weekend. LS400's fricking suck for getting engines out of them! Stupid things. Anyway, some random pictures and stuff, and a slight issue. ![]() 2 days later it came out ![]() ![]() We lost Rich early on in the project, after he failed to get up off the floor as the car was being rolled into the unit. ![]() We stacked him up in the corner and got on with it. ![]() Out! ![]() Spot what's wrong... ![]() Yarp... ![]() Probably not needed ![]() ![]() Can I be a member of the "4-fingers-crew" with my engineless car? ![]() ![]() What happens when there's one donut left, it's Coffee, and noone wants it, plus you have a very, very powerfull jetwash set up... ![]() Anyway, the plan is now to take the heads off of this engine, start porting them and stuff (after I've bought the ITB's manifold). Then use this engine as a mount point reference and to generally get the car prepped. I filled out one of them sparesparts websites, and got 10 phonecalls within 10 minutes, offering low mileage 1UZFE's for around 400 delivered, so it's not the end of the world by any means. Plus I'm going to have a nice V8 coffee table for my flat ![]() |
