Spare R154 is staying with me i'm afraid. I've got a habit of breaking gearboxes

The shortshifter is unknown, it came with the 'box - feels lovely though

The adapter is from Thor, I've not got the clutch, fly etc yet - working out if I can do it cheaper than Thor's kit (£1400!). It's fricking confusing though

Steve, I don't know what your future plans are.... but the Lextreme forum in the US has a group buy in progress for a bracket to fit a Vortech supercharger to the 1UZ (135 dollars delivered). You'd still have to sort out an idler pulley, belt, piping, intercooler. etc, of course, and I don't know how much room you'll have under the bonnet.

Still open at the moment.

Lextreme Centrifugal Supercharger Bracket

Gareth - cheers mate but I'm sticking with N/A at the moment. If I went FI i'd use a turbo anyway, as that's what I know

option1garage - awesome. Steve Carter (Australian edition) showed me a video with the car drifting, very cool - how hard was it to fabricate the manifolds to get past the steering rack? That's my next issue after the clutch and fly.

Awesome project. More and more people are realising that Nissan engines are not that good. You get the same power with added reliability with less money when going for a V8.

Sorry for offtopic. Do any of you know what kind of pressures / hp the stock 1UZ can handle with the supercharger? I´m toying with the idea of supercharging an LS400 for the winter.

not all nissan engines are crap lol, the SR20DET is a good engine, and of course the RB26DETT

Toyota just have so many fun engines...4A-GZE, 3S-GTE, 1JZ-GTE, 2JZ-GTE, 1UZ-FE ... Plus the new 1.8 VVTI Lumps are starting to show decent tuning ability, my neightbour had a gen 7 celica with SC kit was supposed to be 270hp at the wheels, gave my tuned up MR2 a run for its money!

My new S14A has a bit more torque than the MR2 but the guys sold the celica

8 trumpets out the bonnet FTW.

If its good enough for the TVR Tuscan Challenge cars, its good enough for you.
