| Sick ain't it. Basic breathing + management gets that sort of power, throttles n ting will be badass-ical. Its an odd sensation for me driving a Jap V8, I'm used to older yankee 8's and rovers, where you change at around 5.5krpm My mind is going 'change up, change up' and the engines going 'no need, no need'! |

| I can't see... ![]() ![]() | Mine will have a lot more work done than the video car. Cams will be ordered as soon as my chrimbo bonus comes through, along with the ITBs, ported head, and what could easily be described as a free flowing 2.5" exhaust should prove fruitful on the power front ![]() Quote:

| Factory limit is supposedly 6.5KRPM, like most toyota engines though, it goes past that for some way before it bounces. Sammy: you get a big wave of torque that just keeps on coming. Torque (and these are the specs for the basic early celsior engine) is 353nm, or 260ftlb for the metrically challenged. If you were going for pure numbers, then yes some yank crate that you bolt a couple of bits to and get a gazillion powers at 3rpm makes more sense, but its not just about what figures you can get for how little money. And I'm not yet convinced buy the whole 'LS1's are cheap power' thing. Not in this f*cking country anyways! Its harder for Steve as he has a lot of custom shit to do to get it in the car, whereas mine is going back into a very similar chassis, so a lot less fab work. |
