Roffle, i like how fricked the placement of that one Air filter is, my RX7 has one pointing forward and the other tucked behind the radiator

Ill post up a few pics later, got loads, but for now, heres a quick vid we took at Mitto was bleeding the air out the water system... It just happened him revving the car it had an entertaining other function, as this vid shows.

Right, some pics.

As you may remember, the Chaser had a small missfire prob since I had it that soon turned in to a serious one where it wasnt even running on 6cyls at idle.

I couldnt find the fault, fitting the DW coilpack kit didnt fix it, the combined legendary RB fixing efforts of Clarkey and Ant didnt find the fault, and though about the only thing we hadnt changed was the inlet gaskets, we couldnt find any noticable blow from it either.
It boiled down to needing to change them, but id had enough by then so sent it to Paul and the guys at JDM Garage Jap Imports - Specialising in importing of Japanese Performance Motorcars

While it was there I asked them to fit a DV i had lying around, fit my Cobra seats and hardnesses Cobra, fit my line lock, and my hydraulic handbrake.

I fact, they did a LOT more than that!

Totally minted up the engine bay, tidying wires, painting, and polishing...

LOVE the metallic and metalflake sticker too

Made custom subframes to get the seats to sit mega low...

Fitted the wand n line lock...

Logo is mint, nice design Mitto

And now the cars back in one piece and goes like frick

Wheels/Tyres, Graphics, and action action action coming soon...

Oh, and ive grown to hate the warped cheapo front bumper, need to get a Big Win one soon I think...

DEX-

I dont like bonnet either, but it gets SO hot under there, thats RB26s for you!

Handbrake needs adjusting.
Elbow wise it was fine for me, but no good for Paul.
BUT for me it gets in the way of the gearstick!
Im gonna turn the lever so it lays flat, wont be in the way then, even tho im more comfortable with a vertical one.

Just curious with your hydro handbrake, how are you intending to pass mot? Friendly mot station? or will it pass because you can lock it with the little lock... umm, thing..

Reason I ask is I have pretty much the same one (K sport) and unless I remove the old handbrake it is going to be a proper pain in the arse to use comfortably.

Glad you finnally got your car back though, I waited 2 months to get my car all working properlly and legal when it first came over and that seemed like forever, so fcuk knows what its been like for you!

Hydro handbrakes will fail MOT wether they lock or not.

And there shitloads of things that wont pass a normal MOT on that car, lol

fricking sweet Stav, can't wait to see it in action!

Reckon that raised bonnet actually helps with cooling? I'm sure it was Steve Carter did a test and found it had the adverse effect, looking for an image on the net that I found ages ago for a uni project that showed it but this kinda does:

Shows its actually high pressure at the base of the screen so won't actually let the air escape?

cheers

Ali

Maybe not when moving mega fast, but road/drift cars do a lot of standing around queueing and going slower.
But dunno, came like it, not arsed to change it, lol.

Cookie- They wider than I hoped they would be to be honest, I like ones where I cant move even if I tried, but these are not wide, thats for sure.
Should be fine mate, not many people like the seats to be as uncomfortably tight as me.
They about 300quid a pop mate, DW do their own version too, which is ball-achingly cool IMO-

Bon- Going by the state of the bodywork mine has been crashed a number of times, lol.
