Lol! Im deffo not sure about that, looks a bit too boso there, lol.

BUT the car wont be this comedy 70s metalflake purple anymore, so it wont stand out as much. Can you do the car in black maybe?

Heres some pics without the spoiler for an easier comparison...

Looks smoother without it, but a bit boring without it, and its an ugly ass mental car, and not in that 70s pimp colour anymore.

Cant be boring, should be nuts, so it works in that respect.

Esp as ive now got a mental bonnet to go on, and it wont be purple anymore... Hmmmm

Maybe ill put the bonnet on too tomorrow and see how i feel

If you do the spoiler I reckon it'd be better if you trimmed it so that it sat back around the back of the bootlid a bit more rather than sitting square on top. That'd make it less in your face and will look better from behind. As it is it just looks like someones cut a slab of MDF and popped it on the boot when you look at it from behind lol.

It does sit back mate, sits about an inch below deck height at the back, as it did on the Mk1 it was meant to be on.

Cant see as there tape all over the fricker, but it does, lol.

At mo im unsure, but its the My Little Pony spec metalflake purple thas making me think its too much. I think even the bonnet will look stupid in that colour, and I know that looks good.
In a much milder colour I reckon itd be fine.

frick it, ill prob try it, and if dont like it, bin it off, easily done now this gay paint is going.

I agree with Bryn , little bit of angle in the spoiler. Like on the mk1 escort (i think the boot lid on the chaser is horizontal whereas the Mk1 Escy is sloping slightly) would look better.

Just tried offering up the Holset turbo and my manifold and the bolt holes didnt quite line up.

So, presuming the cheap ass stainless manifold was out, I checked it versus the usual T4 flange dimensions...

The manifold is spot on, perfect, the turbo is the one with the bolts in the wrong place! But its been dileberatly done like this it seems

Basically the one direction the hole to hole is spot on, 2.75in, but the

other direction its further apart, 3.5in rather than 3.25!

As far as I can see it I can just about, if im REALLY lucky, elongate the holes on the turbine housing until it fits, which may or may not work, and if it doesnt ive fricked it totally

The other option is elongate the holes on the manifold flange slightly, but there is only 5mm either side to cut, and id need to cut 6mm, so it will be near enough open ended then, and surely that will make the turbo able to move around and blow?

Anyone got any ideas/opinions, etc?

Dump the Rotas.

Paint the car white or an off-white, black spoiler, butcher some CBY's onto it, paint them black and rivet them on and get some proper 80's spec wheels on it with a bit of dish, nothing too crazy ...

wing looks stupid as f*ck.. painting this car a white/black/offwhite would ruin the car and its history...

Paint it something bright and add more flake.. loose the wing, get some decent wheels (Anything Work / Volk / Rays atleast 18x10s) and dump it on it's arse more..

Then drive around looking up school girl skirts.

Its history? It was just some tatty ass JZX81 with no interior and a stock RB26 slung in it from Japan It has no history, its done 1 dound of MSC and one of D1SL, both local rounds I guess, and didnt do well in either.

At least 18x10s? Gonna buy a custom wide arch kit too then? Ive already got aftermarket wide wings and flared to frick rear arches and the ET30 9.5s sit proud of the arches aready...

I've decided since seeing the photoshop of the wing on there I like it.

It's different. Mind was firmly made up when you put up the pics without the wing. It suddenly looked boring without the wing.

Well ive modded the wing a bit more today and now it sits about an inch further down the back of the boot, tilting it back, so its prob half inch lower and more swept back.

Its a subtle change, but its deffo better.

Still a fair way to go till its right tho.

Someone did this quick colour change too, I think im feeling that...

Could you get a new flange for the manifold made up, cut the old one off and weld the new flange onto the manifold?
