verrrry quickly the reasons are alignement and placement of the tubes, i mean look at the pitprop for one example (the tube from the bottom of the a pillar to the ,corner of the windscreen) that should be dead straight or perferably one piece, that is just pure shit and un excusable. plus the welds look a bit turd and going on those two reasons alone, id hate to see the rest of the cage / design.

| Cheers mate Caged banging on about cages for a whole page on this thread has got a bit annoying TBH, as it far exceeds EDC, MSA, and FIA regs, and is fricking amazing quality compared to 99% of cages ive seen, and built by one of the top race car builders in Europe. Might not be like his WRC cages, but it sure as frick is more than most! Things like them bits on the X-bars arnt even on the DriftWorks S15, never mind other bloody drift cars... Not much action will be happening with the car now until the S2000 is sold, but then the money from thats getting massivley blown on the Chaser. Trouble is I have 2 options to do, and cant decide for the life of me which route to take. Thankfully either option can be fully paid for with the S2K money, so it wont take too long really, esp as I wont be doing it. Working out what to do is killing me tho, both have plusses and minusses and unknowns, too close to call, but needs doing, as car bores me at mo aside from drifting, and I do more than that. And thats that really. Last edited by Stavros : 02-09-2008 at 22:33. |

| I <3 BDC! ![]() | Only just had a look at this thread for the first time in a while, looks good. Cage looks nice, very neat welds. What are there two options for the s2k money, or are they top secret? ![]() Plans to compete next year? With all these mods going on you'd bloody well better. ![]() |

| Andy- Yeah id like to do BDC Am 09 if there room. In a roundabout way thats why im getting rid of S2K, as then hopefully I can do everything I want at once, and job done, no more mods, and reliable too. If I dont have other stuff in mind I can keep my wages etc for paying for events, upkeep of the car, etc. TBH the car as it is is more than capable of doing well in BDC Am or Pro with the right driver, the stuff im doing wont really help me in that way, not even had drifting in mind with these mods, the car is already way better than me at drifting. What I wanna do is mostly to entertain me more when im using it on road, which in overall "seat time" is more than drifting, as I use it any evenings and weekends when free. Jord- Yeah, not ideal fanancial conditions and time of year to be selling a fairly pricey convirtible! But I wont be after top money, and certainly wont lose any, so ill be ok I hope (famous last words!). |

![]() just asking questions and querying things isnt a crime - just trying to understand your / their reasoning behind the decision and maybe, dare i say it, have a healthy debate on DW.

| i dont know where your sensing anger, as your wrong. but banging on on someones thread like their cage is dogshit when it more than passes all regs and is better then 90% of cages you see, is gay to say the least. |

| Non biased opinion: Stav, that last post of his is entirely correct, he didn't put the cage down, he merely questioned the use of clubman tube and the lack of door wraps. Personal preferences and everything, depends on who's doing the work. We both know he knows what he's banging on about, but I also agree that the discussion just got to a stupid level - in my case all I wanted to see were the wraps he was chatting about. Can we all move on please, its a project thread, not a discussion thread. Do it by PM if needs be chaps. |
