No updates yet before anyone asks. ![]() I'm having major headaches getting my stuff from Japan. Skay as always have been very helpful and after several discussions with Stephen over what to do now we are desperately searching for a container with enough free space in it for all my stuff which is leaving in the next 2 weeks - to be honest I'm already pushing it for the start of the new season so I may be out in a car which is pretty much the same as last season sadly! The only other option is shipping via pallet which is costly when you've got a full kit, 4 over fenders, a spare bumper, two spoilers and 12 wheels coming! ![]() What I did perk up about however is this which I spotted on Rees's thread as its got the same kit, same wheels and same rear spoiler as I've got. So it should look HOT. Mine will just be wider and have an extra spoiler. And an undecided colour. Last edited by Jord; 01-02-2009 at 21:08. |

Haha who needs photoshop! Looks absolutley spot on. Best of luck getting you stuff over mate, it will certainly be worth the wait. Have you got 12 wheels all for yourself, or are you planning to sell some on?

Basically I took a UK regular S13 subframe, stripped it down and repainted it black. Fitted the following - Japspeed solid alloy subframe bushes Japspeed Toe control arms Driftworks Camber control arms I'm using the standard traction arms so hopefully I'll have all the adjustment I need with the toe and camber arms but we'll see. We also fitted Driftworks polybushes to the hubs in place of all the standard bushes, so 6 in total. I've got 4 more Driftworks polybushes sat here to replace the stock bushes on the lower wishbones but didn't have the right bits for our press at work to get the old ones out. This makes me sad I was hoping to get the lot done in one go.The subframe is back on the car thanks to 4 mechanics staying behind work, proper bastard of a job that. Just have to set the alignment by eye on Sunday, reconnect the prop and exhaust and loop the rear lines by the front rack [if this is the best place?]. Hopefully I'll have a bit of time Sunday to start on get the dash back in the car too. Shibby. On the Japan situation I'm really hoping I'll have some good news soon, my stuff hasn't left yet and I needed it here December. ![]() Oh and I'm missing the start of the BDC season to save on some dollar and concentrate on getting the car done, had my stuff been here before now I'd be there at Round 1. I think 2009 is going to be all about getting back to my roots and remembering drifting used to be all about FUN rather than the pressures of competition. So hopefully I'll get to do some BDC, some JDM, but most importantly lots of practice days, lots of track days and lots of seat time.

Good plan Jord. yet another one that has tons of help to do jobs. Most I've had is 2 people when doing subframes, one being me and the other generally Bruno. You need eyes everywhere when doing that ![]() Glad that's on finally mate. Hopefully you'll be inspired to crack on with the rest and be back in the saddle as soon as your bits arrive |

.Just waiting on cars to be finished that are going in the container and too many reasons I won't go into. I can relax once its on the sea. Quote:
I do feel kinda more inspired to get the rest of the car finished now, which is good. Hopefully I'll get the interior done within a week as I'm looking forward to seeing how that turns out.

I feel your pain Jord - i'm stressing my arse off to get my car ready for the start. Its gonna be close, I just have to start working on the car in evenings when I get back from work now as well as weekends. Tiredness, yay.Your car should look rather tasty though when done. Good luck mate.
