| No longer K1 | I know ![]() But when you're almost broke and got project work to hand in, cars have to take a back seat Sides you said it yourself, it was far easier when we had the right tools (Aka 2 poster lift with a transmission cradle) for a few hours does it make it all so much easier |

Lining up the holes can be a pita when on a ramp with a transmission jack so I can understand how hard they can be on the floor. | |

| No longer K1 | UPDATE! Been a few months since installing the LSD, having changed the oil, found there was still clunking at the back end.. being the rear top mounts being absolutely ficked! ![]() Changed them out for E46 top mounts, no more clunking Also seems I've lost a race prep job i'd been doing at the weekends, Oh well... leaves more money for going to a drift day (FINALLY!) Hoping to be up in May providing it doesn't clash with my exams with Mazdachris. Last edited by Silverfang : 11-05-2008 at 19:31. |

| No longer K1 | Boll**ks... rust has struck and looks like i'll be down my friends workshop to sort this out.. till then it's covered in ductape! ![]() Been touching up a few spots but since i don't have any money for matched paint, i've had to go getto style with Hammerite smooth mostly under bonnet stuff but one spot on the back quarter was in dire need of sorting.I know full well this car is NOT MINT! and when i get around to selling it it'll be priced to suit. ![]() Last edited by Silverfang : 17-07-2008 at 15:50. |

| No longer K1 | After hacking out the rust, and a few cardboard templates... we cut some sheet steel to shape, a bit of welding.. a bit of grinding down with a flap sander, a light skin fill... more sanding, priming, sanding again.. and finally some paint! ... ![]() ![]() We have this.. I KNOW it's NOT PERFECT! but it IS ALL STEEL and will stand the MOT, after i get some waxoyl on the inner lip and on the other side to seal it in. ![]() EDIT: Also planning to get it though the MOT, whic involves fixing the blowing exhaust again, and swapping the steering rack out for an E36 item Last edited by Silverfang : 26-07-2008 at 23:27. |

| No longer K1 | More bits coming, got the studs though a BMW Stealers, but not bad considering it was only about £5 for the lot ![]() The bearings.. curtiousy of SKF, since i'm there on a year's placement i asked about maybe buying new wheel bearings from them, instead i get them free of charge! ![]() ![]() Still gotta go to Daventry and pull an E36 rack and coloum for a conversion, fresh crush washers for the hoses, new power steering fluid. ![]() Also getting new RTA bushes (BMW originals for £12 a side) ![]() Braided brake hoses ![]() and Castrol SRF brake fluid ![]() And all this before the MOT's due in August ![]() Last edited by Silverfang : 30-07-2008 at 19:54. |
