Its time to get it up to spec!

Iv been busy getting my car up to spec for EDC/Eurodrift etc.
Since my off at Clay, it was clear that the body work needs attention!
So the spec of my s14a so far for those of you who do not alredy know,
Free flow air filter
s/s 3" exhaust
s/s Tube manifold
s/s turbo elbow
Iridium plugs
Catch tank
Greddy profec B spec II boost controller
Greddy auto timer
EBC 315mm brake conversion (front)
Rota GTR wheels
D2 coil overs
D2 tension(castor) arms
D2 camber arms
D2 tow arms
Ally subframe collers
Brace bars front + rear
Short shifter
walbro fuel pump
Z32 AFM
Nismo 555cc injectors
Apexi power fc
Saga boost gauge
Saga AFR gauge
Saga oil pressure gauge
Garrett GT30/71R turbo
Samco coolant hoses
Custom made induction pipe
Braided oil and water turbo pipes
RPS puck clutch
RPS segmented flywheel
FMIC
Alloy rad with custom electric fans
Sparco bucket seat
1.9 head gasket
3 way diff(s13 manual ratio)
Running 24psi boost @ 400hp

Loads going on over the next month, here is what iv been up to so far.
Iv spent alot of time over the last 8 months or so buggering around with my cooling system, blowing a head gasket in the proses:annoyed:
Any way, now with a new rad(thanks Dan) a bit of fab work and some electronics its now working really well, regulating between 80-83degs.AT LAST!!!!
Iv tryed all sorts of fan controllers, with relays etc etc etc but they all kept burning out!!! Must be the fans im using(twin jaguar X300)
1st of all i went about making a new fan cowling as i previosly just had the fans on the back of the rad which wasnt directiong air throgh it, more like all over the place

Fitting it to the new rad being extra careful not to damage the shinyness.

In zee motor

Then it was to get some reliable controll of the fan.
So i got a new Datsun Cherry fan switch and made it fit into the temp sensor boss on the top rad hose.

sensor and switch both in top hose

Works a treat.

Last pic of it befor i began.

Half hour later,

then,

One more pic of the bent 1/4.

fitted the modded subframe. I was going to mod the ARB links to alow for the extra distance to reach to the same hole in the arm but they fit ok as they are just at a bit of an angle that shouldnt be a problem so that saves me some work.

Got camber! thats with the top mount adjusted out as far as it will go(still more to do at the top end)

I wont be needing this junk!

Nice big hole in its place(this space will be used later)

Few more bits removed and how i left it.

Ok, today i didnt get as much done as i had hoped!
Had to put a new sump onto Flikstrr's car befor the engine died.
Plus i had to put up with his air gitar(sp) as Ozzy was blasting the tunes out. Yes i spotted you Phil
1st of, i sorted the brake pipes out, well as much as i could with out a flaring tool and a T-peice:annoyed: (lent brake pipe kit out)
Looks much neater with out all them brake pipes clittering up under the bonnet.

Then i set about doing some thing with the rear archs, i had no plan what so ever and just made it up as i went along!

was a bit worried that wouldnt be enough, so out came the grinder again!

And how it looks from inside the arch, it now does not curve down atall, it is horrizontal from the highest part of the inner arch all the way out to the lip.

started with putting 50mm spacer on, a wheel and the 1/4 to see how it all sits.

Check clearance. LOADS!!!!!

Then started to make the skin that comes down to the fiber glass lip to protect it against tyre killage!!!!

Now, this is the bit im really pleased with!

with out the 1/4 and with the new wing protector, still lots of clearance, even if i juck the wheel right up into the arch where its never going to go! (unless some thing brakes or drops a bus on it)
