Mustang Powered S13

Following on from this: http://www.driftworks.com/forum/othe...ites-dust.html

I was at a loss as to what engine to put in. Then along came Alex(Suprmek1) from Welcome Page and the project was born.

We first talked about dropping a 2-JZ into her, but with only a budget of £3k , finding a nice lump with all the nessacery bits was proving to be futile.

Then we thought about an S2000 lump in. Again price was a stumbling block.

Then one day this little beauty presented its self on E-bay for a ridiculas price! V8 POWAAAAAAZZZZZ!!
2001 Ford Mustang 4.6L V8 with all the bits needed for the conversion!

So its out with
And in with

This was what she looked like before work was started. Since then Ive stripped out all the mods from the engine, disconnected all the loom and other bits holding the lump in, ready for Alex to remove when he gets it back to the shop. Stripped all the interior out, dash, heater matrix ( Bloody heavy stuff you know), all ready for the V8 Power!

Current state of play: Alex has picked the car up from me in South London and took her back to Torquey (Top bloke for that). Shes currently stripped bare and awaiting the engine to be deliverd from Scotland.

Will post more pics and write up as and when i get more info from Alex, although i dare say he will write up on here to to let you know how its all progressing!

STAY TUNED!!

PS: 'scuse the spelling and what not, but if you really must flame me for it, please phone this number

Love it! Funnily enough I was with the boys from Suffolk County Mantas today because they're putting one of these:

In a place it wasn't meant to be
That engine is really clean when you pull the EGR, and it's associated rubbish off.

Ill quickly sling it together tomorrow to show how it looks, or maybe ill show it all in bits as ive decided to bite the bullet, get the dremmel out, and enlarge the combustion chambers and port the heads.

Either way its a proper low budget job, but im confident on 500bhp and 500lbft+ on stock bottomend, enough to make the block crack anyhow.

Got the turbos, manifolds, fuelling, everything really, so no more money really needed to spend, done that bit at least.

frick knows what car its going in though, ill worry about that after!
