Volvo 740 Turbo, Swede..

Some information about the car

Volvo 740 Turbo -88
FR
B230FT engine controlled by Bosch jetronic LH2.2
"Massive rear axle"(?)
Original power 156 hk @ 4800 rpm
Weight original, 1410kg

Some facts about me, and history of the car

Ive been interested in drifting for a couple of years now. It startet when i got my "iceracer". A Volvo 740 GLE whit 130hp. I have driving it on frozen lakes for about 3 years now. Ofc whit Lappi racing tires. So i got a little bit exp in driving sideways, but i got really much to learn.
I bought the car in November 2007, an ordinary 740 Turbo. Lowered 40mm, painted in some Subaru Impreza blue colour. The engine got an 531-engine head and an Volvo 940 stock turbo (Mitsu).

A picture some days after i bought it.

Be gentle whit my english, it isnt be best. Please come whit hints and comments.

I have'nt updated here because i have had some problems with the car. It goes waay to rich, but i have only one thing i havent checked/changed now. The "control unit". So problably it will be running well soon when i've got my hands on a new one..

Thats why i havent done anything with the suspension and chassi yet, but i have changed some other parts.

New foglights, grille and plate.

And new rear lights.

So very soon i'm gonna start the project for real.

Nice.

Done som minor mods since last update.

Equipped it with a fuel governor from a 940 Turbo. The one i had from stock had 2,5 bar pressure. The new one got 3 Bars pressue. Just to be one the safe side, because it run it with stock software.

Also ordered new rims yesterday. Rondell Super DTM 18"x8,5", looks like this:

Did a little paint mod how the car probably will look like towards the summer.

or ? Well i kinda like it. :P

This summer it's gonna run in its current condition. I guess it is around 200hp.. I thougt it would be better to fix the suspension and learn the car before i tune it.

Where'd you get those headlights, marker lights, and tail lights?

Edit: What's this avolvo.org? I tried that and volvo.org and couldn't get nothing. And please, don't do a body kit!! These cars make such nice sleepers!!

The Headlights is stock, marker lights and taillights you can buy here:
www.radicast.se (you can just send a pm if you don´t find it.)

And oops, i wrote totally wrong about the bodykit. The bodykit i was looking for was a Volvo original bodykit that whas made my volvo when 740 was new. I have got my hands on one kit now and its ready to be painted.

But hehe, last week my differential sad goodbye. Just a god reason to buy a new LSD. Ordered one yesterday. Hope i will be able to get some action pics and movies next week.

those are stock headlights??? thats cool. they didnt send any volvos to america with those headlights otherwise i'd be all over them! i clicked on that link and it showed me tail-lights, but they weren't the right ones. i'd go look around the site, but i cant understand any of it's two languages. oh well. consider yourself lucky! i cant wait to see the pics and video!

Edit:
I just noticed that Cowl, where'd you get that? I found the headlights finally. Sure enough-you have to search for them as european headlights.
