Fair play though, it was E-bay and you pays ya money and you takes ya chances
Thats weird cause Ive seen a few people using them and they had no problems, thats one of the reasons i got it.

Little update.

I used petrol instead of white sprite and it worked much better, but did make it look like this.

After a good clean with white sprite and after some soup to get rid of the smell. it looked like this.

Worked my ass off all the day long till about 7ish and was happy that it was finally all done.

I couldnt fit the bucket seat as the mounts that were with it didnt work/fit so back with the old ones, and its going to be really drifting on Wens at pod with them

Does anyone know of any mounts or subframes that i can get for cheap. The seat is a bottom mount.

Little update, got myself a run around car for free and now only using the S13 for drift days.

It was a good day starting to get the hang of things, went through a bit of rubber and need to make another trip to kwik fit soon.

Done this on the day, i think i hit a cone and there was rust there anyways.

Had a little go at fitting the rear bumper on yesterday. Bit of a pain getting that old one off, too many screws.

Once it was off it looked like this.

2mins later and it looked like this, (if only it was that easy)

Put the side skirts on to see what it all looked like. Really liking it now, the sides should be really easy.

The light thingys for the plates were rusted to shit and i couldnt get the screws out, so just broke parts of it off (need to sort that out)

Had to do a bit of hammering to get the panel back to shape

As you can see its even a worse fit then the front bumper, and it cracked as i tried to fit it

Will start at some point drilling all the holes and stuff.

Honestly mate, drill enough holes and use enough cable ties and they kits flex enough to fit just fine!

It will only get the frick ripped out of it at next DWYB anyhow

If only someone did cheap kits for JZX81s on UK Ebay id be sorted

Got some more drift wheels, its a good thing that they have OK tires as my front ones really need changing (im poor and cant buy new ones.

Now i said to myself that im not going to another drift day without a welded diff, sooooo i got down to sorting that out for the next pod day (9th). First started off with taking the back box and prop, which wasnt hard.

Only problem i had was with the drive shaft bolts... bit of a pain but got there, the other bolts were really easy.

And about an hour later, after trying to take off the hoses for the cooler and the plug thingy it was off. First time doing this so didnt really wont to feck anything up. Could do with giving it a bit of a clean and painting it.

I found this side to be really hard to move the drive shaft off the diff and then found this stuff on it which was strange.

After cleaning it and looking at the other one i remembered what happened. This happened when i hit and broke my standard toe and lower arm.
What really worrys me is that its been like that all that time and I just now find outIm lucky that nothing happened to it while i was driving it and also lucky that ive got a spare one too

Took off the back thingy and had a look to see if everything was OK and now its ready to be welded

Right the diff is now welded up and ready (thanks to Polo, cheers mate)

Spent yesterday night and tonight getting it back on, just need to see if im going to have time to put the rear bumper for Wednesday. If not then plates with cable ties

Also got some now goodies

I know.. a bit but i really needed some and they are nice and long ones, which is what i need.

Oh and got all my tyres ready too, not sure if i will be able to fit 12 rims in the car.

That is all for now

will have to have a word on the 9th as it looks like we are doing the same thing but mine was always gunna be just a drift car.
must say you've done an amazing job at building it in your garage.
all you need to do now is paint it and hey presto one complete drift racer....

just read this through start to end (instead of working) and this is good stuff - I'll be referring to this for my own build

what did you end up doing with the wheel? I want a quick release wheel as I'm too big to get in and out as it is (knee keeps fouling the steering wheel lol) and once I get bucket and cage in it'll be worse.

In the end we didn't even use the quick release and took it off. Just used the boss. Cos you need the boss on for the quick release

Will do mate
Im just waiting to start on changing the subframe, its goin to be hell with that little space there.
My plan is go get it for 300ishbhp and leave it at that, if the engine goes BANG then might think about getting something different (if i have the money that is)
