Tell me about. Talking of 'health & safety', we're using a carpet to lay on and everytime you weld bits fall on to it and keep making holes lol. It set on fire a few times
The welder seems to want to work one day and the other its playing up, really dont get it.

Little more welding.
Finished this.

And got this done.

This was the worst one to do, Got the holes fill. From this....

To this....

Then cut and bent the shape for the outer bit.

Welder was working ok.

And it finished.

Just two little bits to weld and its all done. Also got the flywheel skimmed so will put that on tomorrow too.

Been a few weeks since ive updated it. Well all the welding is done. Washer on the roof and the rail, which i had a go at doing

Also moved all the wiring from the back to the front so its not in the way when it comes to painting the inside.

Chip

Got few more bits and bobs and all the paint and filler etc.

Then had to take the car out to fix my brother's S14a cause of this

Got some practice with heat wrapping his mani and elbow, and we didnt do a bad job of it too.

If anyone was wondering (as I did) what the difference between a T28 to a T28r is here you go.

Would made a nice mess in the garage.

So as he had to take off the turbo, we thought why not just do the whole stage 1 and from looking like this.

To this.

I know not many like BOV, but it does sound funny and loud

Took us about a week to do everything on his one, which is pretty good as it as we were working on it everyday after work. Its also made me push myself to get mine done ASAP as its taking forever. So more work this week.
Used hammerite to paint the cam belt cover, not the best idea as its much runnyer then normal paint so its not that great but who cares.

On with the other belts on too.

Also cleaned more of the front and painted it.... with the wrong redBut again it does the job.

Undersealed the chasis rail

Clutch in. Lets hope this one lasts.

Then i found out that the manifold doesnt fit without removing the ABS or doing something with it. So for now i will use the standard one till I can be arsed to take the ABS out. And also need to rotate the tubro to make the hoses fit.

But the elbow now doesnt fit so need to found one that will, but what

Ok so the elbow problem is sorted (just me being a dumbass and not fitting it properly).
Changed the injectors this weekend, which is a bit of a pain in the ass really having to take all the crap off from the top of it.

Had to take this thing off just to get to one screwand found that the gasket was gone.

Taking them off was ok just that the first one had fuel still inside it and want everywhere, so Ive lost about £2-3 of fuel. lol

They look pretty much the same, Which does worry me a little. The right one is the GTR injector.

Then started on fitting the boost controller by taking off the old solenoid and doing the hole hot start solenoid thing.

This is what the manuel says for fitting.

Was thinking of fitting the valve unit here but I didnt get enough hose for the turbo side. Were do people put their.

Also got some braided water hoses for the turbo, but the old one wont come off, from what i see you just pull it off.

Also last night with the good help of my dad we got the rear bumper on, and im shocked that it fitted pretty well, as I did think it was going to be that good. But still not perfect but its fine for me.

There are still little gaps, but cant really do much there as its a shitty made mould.

This gap is not as big as I thought it would be, did leave the shock bar on with the poly thingy on it to which helps it sit better.

This side is not as good as the other but will have to the arch to get the end in. Should be fun.

Well just got in from the garage and have spent the last 3-4 hours putting the turbo and manifold on with the elbow and then on the car with the braided hoses and everything. Just keep having problems after problems which take soooo Fricking long to fix. Lets hope I get the rest of the stuff put on tomorrow and also the gearbox. Man Im so tired.

But yeah getting there..... slowly lol

Right, getting somewhere now. Putting everything back now.

If anyone is thinking of putting a T28r on their CA, all I can say is.... its a FRICKING PAIN IN THE ASS!!! Nothing fits right.
Got these as the standard ones dont fit.

The oil drain pipe is different on a T28r, so had to make the holes for the screws bigger.

All put together.

Then I thought I'll put the elbow on before fitting it as it can be a pain to the bolts up, and thank god I did, as one of the screw holes on the elbow doesnt sit right. So make that hole bigger to, then as you do up the nut it hits the weld and wont go down properly by about not even 1mm. So file that down a little. Its weird cause the elbow gasket I got fits fine. And after messing around with all that crap for hours you have this.

Also the hoses are a bitch to get on. Well only one of them.

Looking better, but still need to do the AFM plug wiring thingy.

Cant really be arsed to put back the rad cover so cable ties help

Then the rest of the exhaust doesnt sit properly, may have to get some new longer hangers or play around with it a little as it was just a quick try was too tried to start messing around with it.

This is also a pain, as the exhaust sits a little inside the bumper, but that I will sort out with something new when the car is working.

Thats all, would of liked to get the gearboxs back in by now so I could start on the painting, but the turbo just took forever to do. Happy its done now and will never think about having to do that again.

It didnt fit, cause of the ABS and I really couldn't be arsed to start moving it and thought I'll put it when I take out the ABS at some point. Plus I had to heat wrap it and that was another thing that I couldn't be arsed with. lol. I just want the bloody thing finished, its taking forever.

Got these the other day, was lucky to find a passager seat frame. The idea off making one fit on the standard rails didnt work as it would of been to high up, so much easier to just pay one that fits. And a nice cheap(ish) gauge, my brother got one for his S14a and its pretty good and look nice too.

Also got the gearbox back on which took longer then it should of (thought the clutch didnt fit). And then had a problem with fitting the front pipe again as the gearbox was in the way so had to take off the turbo and mani to fit it all together. But it didnt take that long which is good and now all the hard work is done.
Started on the filling and prep work for the painting. I think Im going to let my dad do most of the painting as I would royaly frick it up, you can see that from when I painted the cambelt cover

Fitting the hoses for the boost controller and gauge.

The boost guage reader thingy.

Would it be fine if I T this off to fitt the gauge hose??? also can i use the small top hose that goes from the carbon canister. Still not to sure which pipes to use to get the boost readings.

i think that the exhaust is missing a piece, which is why its sitting inside the bumper. For example the cat/decat. Unless you specifically bought the one without, but thats my best guess.
