Right started some REAL work today on the rust and it looks like its going to be a bitch too.
It started with this

And slowly moved on to this. Ive never really done any of this before so just had a go, any help would be great tho
Will have to cut the first bit of metal off to sand down the second.

tomorrow will do more and start cutting away more.

Its more of cut, grind, cut grind, cut grind, and then new metal, weld it, and then fill it and paint

Done some more work, started cutting the outer sill.

Once it was all cut.

Then needed to cut the rest of it, but it was dot welded so done bit by bit.

Once that was done, you can see more rust and the dots which are left.

Sanded it down a little and made another hole

Inside the arch little more sanding, will get lots of undersealent to do the arches nicely

The other rear fender which also has rust.

Cut it all up, just need to sand a little more the inside bits.

Ive been told that there is some sort of liquid that you put on rust and it stops it from spreading and covers it, will need to look more into that and other bits that may help me. Thats it for today, will see what i can do tomorrow.

I really want to but im not sure yet, its the money which i dont have and also i know that I will frick it up in no time when skidding, so may leave it for about half a year or something and then do it nicely when i have more money and with few other bits on it, like fenders and stuff.

I have no idea really havnt bought any yet, but someone over on the sxoc told me to use normal zintec metal and should be around 1.2mm in thickness, if that helps.
I was thinking of just going to like GFS auto parts and buying something like a VW golf fender which is meant to be really cheap and cuting into shape, still have to look into that.

get yourself some bilthamber deox gel and give the sill 2 treatments for 12-24 hours each. It'll remove the rust and leave metal looking like new ready for a lick of paint. You won't believe how awesome this stuff is until you see it!
