Well here is some pics, got round to fitting the extinguissher today and also done a little waxoiling and tidying up:

Out with the old:

In with the new: (welded)

Fire extinguisher sits nicely and its the only place i could put it without getting in peoples leg room or not being able to slide chairs forward or back:

made some plates for gauges and switches

Got a tip for ya. Clean things up before putting them on. Its a pain in the ass having to work on oil covered parts.
But glad to see the diff in its new home. Time for you to make it skid, welded is fun

another small update but mainly a tidy up as i had the day off college

here you can see where most of my pipes run, what i am going to do is where you see them go under drill as hole straight up and gromet them and run the lines etc through the car and then from that i can upgrade onto a hydro wand later when i get a little more funds as i dont want to spend out of my seat time funds which i still might not make this month as i have just had to pay for lessons and theory anyway here you will see what i mean ( if not i will put a x in paint for you )

and can any one tell me what these pipes are for on my diff, the only solutions/use i can see them for is topping up or to cool the fluids inside a little??

found my old show plate

a freind from america told me that if i had a crash i would get seriously bad whiplash or maybe worce off my harnesses being to vertical, is that true as i heard that they need to be atleast 27 degrees or something????

here they are:

Thanks Corey

The pipe on the top of the diff is a vent. That diff is from a Granada and has a fitting on the end which clips into the rear chassis x-member. The Sierra only has a tube which is pushed into the x-member.

any way:

Got all the diff and everything sound and working as should be with a little help, bearing in mind it only has a half exhaust on atm but needed to turn it round and when i started it, it was liek a TVR, i shall get a video tomorrow to prove it sounds awsome but need the full exhaust for my future plan....

leads me onto the viscous fan which Rob already knows is doing my head in, i rang him and he told me what to do but still no use as i hadnt a spanner/pliers to get round the huge nut on the viscous, i flushed all the engine and rad etc so all nice and clean......ish,

i didnt manage to get any pics as my camera died of charge yesterday and i the spoon i am forgot to charge it....so i will go and grab some tomorrow to put in my progrees thread

Another small small small update but really need answers and thoughts on how to do this:

now my car is 99% done i just need to get the vicous fan off, yea well not so simple as i thought, i started with just a hammer and chizzle and had no effect at all, then i moved onto a stiltsons/pliers still no effect, anybody got a easy way of getting these ugly things off? here is some pics of what i mean anyway:

more to come this week as im hoping to make the teeside practice on the 20th( its a maybe)
