Xr4i 24v

Well hello Guys and Gals and Retrodan

I aint made a thread about my car here yet and jammie has just persuaded me to make one

I got this car about 6months ago and done nothing but fiddle with it, litterally i mean if i didnt have anything to do on it i go round the garage drive it out and reverse it back in numerous times a day, but atleast now im fairly good at reversing for when i turn 17 and on my test

anyway enough jibba jabba here she is:

Spec:

Ford seirra xr4i
24v cosworth engine conversion done by Baz @ xr4ispares
Fully adjustable konis
Decat
air filter, oil filters etc
Cosworth rear lsd i know
No rear brakes
fully stripped

Things to do:

Get a welded sorted
Rear brake calipers
PAS cooler fitted
Twin electric fans fitted
cage (hopefully)
2 nice buckets as im currently using 3door cosworth interior which is worth a canny bit money
Get to as much dorift events possible this year

AFTER THE DIET:

also here is me at Teeside on NYE

YouTube - corey at drift practice in his xr4i

Comments and advice very much welcome lads , apart from the ones who say scrap it!!!!!

Corey

Why you talking about more power already. Surely the main thing should be getting it running then learning how to drift it good. What power you reckon its running now?

agreed that power is silly for a first car imo and should drift easily

I aint going for more power at all, im saying them are future plans in say a year or so once ive got better,

id say running 200+bhp but the guy my dad bought it off told us 245bhp but had no proof or figures or upgrades so i just say its in standard form with decat and air filters

iirc the mt75 box wont take that much power as i seem to remember it wont take much more than the standard 24v so i would recomend having a look before blowing a box! lol!

Monkeysan- cheers bud, just 24v £200 will get you an engine

Brennon - nah m8 i think your on about the standard xr4i boxes they are like scoobys, made of chocolate the mt75 is sometimes used on some rally cars and are getting quite rare now
