£600 can buy you a bare engine, £800 ish for a complete one plus loom etc

You can buy a rough JZ30 Soarer for a grand though, that's where I'd get one from

As in what cars they came in??

JZZ30 Soarer's the blobby ones most commonly, JZA70 Supra Mark III rare & Chaser/MarkII's even rarer.

Man up in Sheffield breaks Soarer's he's usually on Ebay

I have done a few more bits an pieces yesterday.
i had a look at the antiroll bar fitting, the standard bar dosnt fit as the sump of the 1jz gets in the way.
so i turned it backwards and fitted it to the chassis legs behind the front subframe

I made some mounts and welded them to the chassis legs

this is how it came out hope it works

Looks like it'll work a treat .. I didn't realise the ARB was a prob with the swap. I guess there may actually some advantages to my engine being pushed back so far after all (grasping at straws I know )

Im sure bon got a bare engine for just under 400 notes, not too long along. Although the prices are going to be going up up and away from now on i bet.

Anyway top work greg.

If you hunt around you can get the engines cheap. What costs is the bellhousing. I paid more for the bellhousing than the gearbox

Have had this up and running for a few months now and i love it
so i thought i should update this thread

the thing sounds awesome and is well responsive now ive fitted a 0.63 rear housing to the turbo.

It made 420bhp and 450ftlbs at 1.1bar havnt been able to run much more boost due to the standard ignitor pack being current limiting and the haltech ecu not working well with it, got some LS1 coils on there way which have built in ignitors so bring on the boost

anyway heres a few pics when i had just finished off the enginebay before i got it dirty
