how much for those rims above though?

I dont have any pics as the tyres were losing air, so are fine for practise day etc but not for roads etc.

Huw may still have them and I wanted another pair but he wouldnt split

haha ta' dude, taxed her last night and I absolutely love it! It goes really well, although I have confirmed it is an open diff which i'll eventually get welded up, just been tidying it up a little at the moment, I do really like it so wanna try keep it clean aswell as skid it. Cleaned her up today and she looks bang on to be fair although I have noticed it has had a respray down the drivers side definately wanna get her lowered too!

Not so much of an update but thought i'd show this

Well my mate has come round to letting me buy his wheels I tried on on the rear today and they look f*cking bad Wonder if they'll fit once my 60mm springs are on Gonna need some fun arch rolling lol!! Hope I can get em to fit though!

10J vs gay 7 1/2J

I don't think i'll be able to have them on before australia but I can't wait to get em on! 8 1/2" on the front and 10" on the rear! My plan is to use 2 tyres off the alpinas to stretch on the 8 1/2" rims then buy a pair of 235 tyres for the 10" rims, i'll probably give em a slight refurb too

Bloody wicked 10J Kontours are always a treat. Might want to rethink the 235s at the back if you're going low, I'm getting lots of rubbage on with 225s on 10Js, and thats with the arches pulled out (plus everyone tells me its not low enough too). Hoping a miniscule ride height increase, stiffer rear springs and maybe some stiffer ARBs will sort it out.

Stretch on some 205s for some fun

you get rubbage on 225's? uh oh lol! well I could always try for 215's all round, they should go on the 8.5's comfortably i'd have thought? 10's might be a game though haha! Well when we get round to defo getting them on hopefully me n Topi will be giving the arches some mega abuse heh heh!

Right my first worthy update I've tidied up bits n bobs but today I have also Lowered her

She's just on springs for now but even still i'm very impressed with the difference them alone have made!

I shall sort the rusty arches when it comes to rolling them! Apparently that's a 60mm drop, whatever it is I like it though there definately the easiest of spring changes i've ever done before! Seems to be such an easy car to work with.

Before I lowered the car I noticed that one side of the car seemed to be lower than the other and after fitting the springs and them settling you could see it on the rears definately! I did originally think the car was f*cked but apparently the majority of them all tend to do it! Apparently it was when BMW designed the car they purposely had the passenger side higher than the driver side for when in the LHD versions it meant when the driver sat in the car it was more likely to be level than usual, they never corrected it for the RHD, never heard of it in my life but I wouldnt put it past the damn krauts lol!

Either way though i'm really really pleased did the oil on her the other day too aswell as get a new front light lens so she looks a lot better now That will probably be the only update now until after Australia unless I manage to get the Kontours on before hand

Back wheels are on yay Scrub slightly if theres more than just me in the car, but will get round that with stiffened shocks or a cheap coilover setup, hopefully will have the fronts on by next weekend.

Main thing is though I just have to say a HUGE HUGE HUGE thankyou to Bell n Josh who helped me an absolute sh*tload in the wet today getting these on! Really can't thank them enough!

(NOTE: This was before suspension had settled after being jacked up lol)

Comparison to other side lol!

Yer got 8.5's to go on the front which i'll be fitting 215/45/17 tyres too, and the rears are 10J Hopefully the front's won't be as much grief to get on lmfao! Nah to be fair it wasn't that hard in all honesty to get the rears on just patience more than anything

Yeah dude, they look the business fitted. Arches done with a pole of some sort?

The 8.5's should go one the front with 215s on, they might catch a bit. You could roll them like youve done the rears or better still get some sort of neg camber. You could go poshly with adjustable mounts, fit M3 evo top mounts left to right or ask 20vwill for his mega cheap camber kit. That will help no end get the fronts under the arch and make the front and rear camber look very similar.
