DRAGON Circuit car

After a 3 year build, in which the car has evolved more and more, this has made the build take so long!
We have finally got the car running. However I dont feel it will be competive for a few months yet, after we can sus out what works and what wont, as there are a few new ideas in the build.
In the future I want some to get some drifting done in it, some crazy smokey high speed stuff just for youtube, as I think the car will be more than suitable.

Does it run on methanol? Hence the lack of intercooler?

No just pump fuel and Aquamist water injection.

Havent tested enough yet. But we will be able to give some feedback soon. Richard at Aquamist as been really helpful, a true enthusiast, at the moment we are upping jet sizes as intakes are to high. Be interesting to see if we can eventually solve the heat issues.
I think Pre turbo WI would work best on something like Rx or GTR with stock turbos, so you could raise the compressor map efficiency and retain the low down boost. Key thing is to get the jet outlet as close to the centre of compressor wheel as possible.

Thinking of Aquamist water injection myself but, how well would it work with a intercooler?

Perfect with an IC, were just trying something, I wouldnt advise running without and IC.

The massivley increased intake temps will be very bad for your engine. Also your ecu will not be happy about it either and punish you by retarding your timing etc.

You will rarely find and engine that is properly mapped to optimise the WI, most set-ups are just a reliability feature. However big gains can be made power wise with water, although if the water is not injected for whatever reason, then you may well blow the engine.
So as I say the engine will be mapped, irrelevant of the presence of the WI.
