German S13 Chuki Project CA18DET

Hi there everybody
My name is Manuel
and i'm from Nürnberg-Germany
i'm reading in this Forum for a long time, i love it
and now i want to introduce my littel ride
and what i have done the last few months on it...

PS: sorry for bad english!

Well i bought my "Chuki" in August 2005

2 Preowners
1st. Police Karlsruhe^^
2nd. the same name but privat driven of this Police guy
only summer driven car
so in very good condition
05/1991
178.000kms
for 1100€
because the engine went hot
so i took a ride with my dad and checked, that it was only the thermostat
so i throw this crappy thermostat away and drove without home
and got a nice little S13 for 1100€^^
-A lot of Luck:-)

put the Koukis on and drove around like everybody

in March 2006 a mate took me to a nissan garage who's specialized in Z32 tuning...

I should only help my mate to change his Headgasket of his S14a...

and later i get a new job....

leap in time

a few modifications on my own during the working time:

New Turboback from Motoria

205hp instead 169hp Stock

Nismo Boost/EGT gauge

0,9 kg/cm²

and put a 25% VLSD in it

and later i met a few mates who's drifting in Austria and driving almost every weekend the Nürburgring Nordschleife
and i was with them^^

thats how it begans.............

hope you enjoy my following part too

regards Manuel

now after 4 months waiting an saving money in DEZ. 2007 on a rainy day
i began to take my engine apart:

put the shit out:

Trunk view:^^

and then i put the engine out:

dirt everywhre you look @ after 215.000kms this engine has already done her job

then @ Zex-tuning.com, the engine man of the Nissan garage i take the engine apart.....
for example the play between the piston an Cylinder was that big
that you can toss a penny between^^ but compression was 9,5 bar @ all 4 cyl.

so now back to the engine
i got my crank and block and head back from the engine guys...

now i was for a few weeks @ Zex-tuning.com
milling the valve seats

grind in the valves:

and put some new Tomei Springs in:

then i base coated my Block:

then KG2 on the block but heat resistant version
and double clearcoat

then putting rods and Pistons together:

and the pistons now ready to enter there position^^:

from the next steps i have taken no pictures
cause i was concentrate of making no mistakes

so here is the almost finished engine:

another CA of Zex:
colors are customers choosen so no commetns please. ^^

then time to fit my Turbo on T28 (S14 turbo) for now with new stock lines
cause i'm not a friend of steel braided ones.

here's a Nissan engine-family portrait:

It's time to put the engine right back where it belongs:

then customizing the ARC piping
because it was a kit for SR20 and wont fit right.

on the other side i decided to let it look OEM^^

but modiefied my Airbox:
so he gets the cool air from frontbumber

battery in trunk with an wrench as holder and a samco as +safe

then turned back my speedo:

almost final view:

then my mates S14a ( you remember @ the start ) with his new URAS bodykit

and under the hood:
new HKS turbokit

testride without bumper.
