more pics!

A few more piccies taken today.. Over the last week me and Topi have been nailing more bits on to the scort... Bias box and braided lines are in and the bias wound to the rear which is awesome.. Front suspension has now been changed to the coilovers off the mk1, so it handles a little better now.. Diff is waiting to go in, I will be knocking up some nylon suspension bushes to stop it being wobbly.. then I will be making a inlet manifold to get the carbs on In the mean time have some pics......

sticky tyres

pinto monster.... not.. currently rubbish

carbs introduced to their new surroundings!

Dash adjustable brake bias...

Cheers!

Been busy the last couple of weeks, done a few jobs to the front suspension, got it running on the bike carbs then this week me and topi got the LSD in... Have some pics..

Shit diff out

Start of bike carb manifold fabricating..

Manifold finished and fitted, carbs on...

After all this hard work it finally pissed it down with rain today so it gave me chance to get some pedal time in it.. went out with Topi in his sil80 and took a few pics and a shitty little vid... First time ive properly skidded this car and first impressions.. Well impressed! its awesome.. Needs more power and rear suspension sorting ASAP but handles lovely, lookin forward to gettin it out when i'm used to it and got it all spot on! Heres the pics from today.....

And the little Vid....

Done a few more jobs over the past week or two, still trawling through all the gay wiring, just gotta finish that off this week. Have got my eye on a set of pimp ass wheels that should look badass on it so hopefully I will get them on in a couple of weeks. Got a track day at Donny on the 7th so am going to be mega busy getting it all sorted in time. Pics to follow......

Donny Trackday 09/08/08

Was busy as fook last week, Having booked a trackday at Donny a while back, I took a couple of days off, thinking I only had a couple of jobs to do to get it ready....

That plan went wrong and I ended up getting a bit carried away! Trackday was on the Thursday evening and on Monday morning I had the bright idea of linking and turreting the rear suspension, lashing up a new exhaust (old one was squashed) and a few other jobs.... Not leaving it a bit late or anything!!

Weather was pretty shat so I splashed out on a cheapo Gazebo and and was able to grind and weld away all weather.. (despite it doing kite impressions every now and then) Anyway, managed to get it all done and welded in (was still welding thursday morning)!

Heres the pics...

Floor bare.. some nice rusty holes..

New pimp wheels arrived from the bay...

First cut!!

Hole

No hole

Blob of weld

More blobs!

Big hole cut in arch..

Big hole filled..

From inside..

Arch after weldage and paint

Oh a pimp wheel... Outer edge polished by bolting to th car and using it as a lathe

The other side..

Getting there

Bit of bracing and harness/strut brace tube (will all be tied to cage when I do the floors)

Trackday wasn't too bad... engine gayed up big stylee when the rad sprayed steam in the dizzy and carbs which meant a horrible misfire.. This led to some heroic corner speeds to keep the momentum Was running ACB10s on the front and slicks on the back... how awesome are cold slicks!!!!??!!

I now am saving to sort the engine (Need to drop something quick in ASAP so I can keep up with Topi and his new 4AGE revvy screamy ness) and stick some rear coilovers on... then its a few drift days

Cheeerz
