nah i think im just going to wait till it dies and get a new one, no point spending hours of rubbing it down, making it look nice, only to clout a kerb/wall/tyre stack and have it fooked again.....

am deffo getting those clear rear lights though! thatll tidy the back end up a treat

+5 points for wheel fitment.

-3 points for not being able to turn front wheels, ya clout.

Still that makes the days total at = +2!!

You'd take +2 points from a day's work!

lol, cheers jord.

gonna get norfy over with some tools and see about possibly modifying the camber plates at the top. as they look like theyd move a fair bit further in, but the actual hole the top of the coilover comes through isnt big enough, ill get a pic, paint a thousand words etc.

would be good if i can cure the lack of arch clearance with just a bit of negative camber, as would rather not have to flare the fronts! and definelty not raising the ride height as that would be gay!

as for looking ghetto, well i cant deny that at the moment, but like most ghetto looking cars, its never more than a paintjob and a tiny bit of tidying up to make it look amazing

got a shit load of nice shiny blue boost hoses in varying sizes to redo all the old knackered hoses under the bonnet today for a low low price, started fitting, looks a million times better, also found the cause of my very tempremental boost gauge, had a slightly split hose in one of the joins, so hopefully thats why its been going from occasional peak of 0.8 to 0.4 etc etc, will road test and find out.

other than that done very little today apart from shoe some wheels up with rubber, and throw the new missus about as its her day off

Can I show you something Jack? I do feel a bit like I may be teaching you how to suck eggs, so tell me if I am.

This front wheel clearance on 17"s -

Right, it rubbed like HELL on the arch lips at the front, but only when drifting because of the angle the tyre sat at [camber wise] when under load and on lock. A little bit of front tyre scrub is OK on the front as whispy smoke from the front tyres on lock looks COOOOOOOOL. But if its too much, it fucks up everything when drifting, as I've found out at a couple of BDC rounds.

Just get a jack handle in there and bend them a bit, they're soft as shit so it doesn't take much effort. Looks much better now though

really nice car there jord.

you can go lower than that, id say about another inch. im running the same rims and not modded the front arches at all, an the tyres are jus touching the inner wheelarch when turning.

really feel the need for a pic

No way dude, its had to go UP by 10mm, which is gay. But it was catching everywhere at that height and splattering front tyre rubber all over the screen/doors/mirrors. Dunno, my castor is kinda screwed up though so its maybe that.

nah thats cool jord, advice always apreciated. gonna try and get a little more camber and maybe just come up a centimetre or so, think this pic shows just how little gap there is!

really want to try and avoid fricking my front tyres as there pretty much spanking new toyos and not really in a position to fork out for new ones for a while!

Fucking hell Jack, those wheels look amazing but do they even turn?
I'm sure 50mm is way to much for spacers. I guess wheel offset would make a difference as well but I think if you want to widen the track by that much you need to do it with suspension arms instead of spacers. It will mess up your geometry and make it handle bad? If it was me I'd get different bolts to put your extensions onto and not have it quite so wide on the spacers. Bolts cost bugger all to buy.

what have you done with the lip inside of the arch (the one that faces down to the tyre)?
