bit more fucking about today. changed lots of boost hosing for some nice new shiney stuff i had (as pretty sure i got a boost leak somewhere)

spent the next hour or so having to raise the suspension and actually get it sitting equal and get a decent bit of arch clearance, this is how she now sits:

took it for a quick test drive.

no wheel scrub from the top of the archs, BUT......

so it fucking goes on... now the edge of the tyre is catching the arch closest the cabin

however, by the looks of things itll be fixable with a large hammer, just bash in the lip thats there. i bloody hope so anyway, then i might finaly have a driveable car!

looks way too high now, but i figured at least until i can sort the front camber out then id rather have it driveable and then just lower it in stages, few mm at a time until i get to an optimum ride height. as i made the mistake of just winding it to the floor and was far too low.

been out there again this morning. think ive finaly got it properly driveable without various different scraping and scrubbing coming from every arch!

hoping this is the last of the problems fixed. tyre was catching on this lip:

before:

then it was hammertime:

then spent the next few hours drying out, cleaning and undersealing everything!

arches:

also did all the underside of the car, the sills, chassis rails all the way back to the rear arches, which ill tackle 2moro.

luckily there was no rust to start with but cant tell you how much better it feels knowing that i have a rustless chassis thats now protected.

Good updates Jack.

Protecting the underside of the car is something that will pay off in the long run.
