| touge runner | Team Sideways BMW E30 Project (2JZ swap, M3 body etc...) Another new project @ Team Sideways A E30 325i from 1986. Type Yesterday my mate bought this car, car was already stripped out but it wasnt good enough for us so today we just stripped the rest out the of the car. It only weight 1020kg now with a full fueltank. Plans: just a couple of driftdays with the car in almost original condition. Goal: A lot. A few hints. M3 body, 2JZ swap. Just a couple of pics to enjoy ![]() |

| No longer K1 | That ought to fly at that weight! 2JZ swap = bonkers Hope it works out , though few tips!, E46 M3 cab top mounts for rear shocks fit and are stronger than the originals and would DEFFINETLY suggest you add some extra bracing to the stock diff if you do the 2JZ swap, they tend to snap with massive power ![]() |

| More weight loss - sunroof out, weld plate over, plexi for windows, remove the second skin on both the boot and the bonnet, remove the wiring loom, chop all un-necessary stuff out, and rewire (you'll save a few Kg's, honestly!), boot spoiler, and the front and rear bumpers weigh a ton, take all the metal out of them, and it'll make a big difference. And get that damned back end down! I do like it though, so good work, and have some fun! BTW - to do an M3 body, buy an M3 shell. The only panel on an M3 the same as a standard E30 is the bonnet. EVERYthing is changed, including the roofline etc. If you do anything like it, literally just get the M3 wings. Last edited by Papercutout : 23-06-2008 at 18:55. |
