Got an old superlite off the starlet and threw white paint at it. So what ya think change the wheels to white from black ? By the way the black on the rear is 15" x 7" and the front is 13" x 7"

hard to tell man..

From the pics i'd say keep black, but I would favour a load of different wheels that'd suit that car:

Work Equip 01s
" "" 03s
Work Meister S1s (like on mine)
Volk racing mesh (atleast 8.5j and 14s)
XR4 longchamps

Tis the lock on the fuel cap and wing sidelights that give that away.. don't think any japs come with those.

car looks good dude, have u driven her yet? as black tops are very good engine, but one thing get rid of them weak intake stacks and order some T3 ones from america, as they longer, wider, smoother and oh look ALOT better than them ones fitted!!!

13" don't look right with all the kit on there. if you don't like the 15" get some 14. still nice and small without being lost in there.

those xr4 are going to need to be wide as hell if you fit cby arches. no + offset nor anything under 8.5j.

Can you explain offset ? + / - etc... Never got it nor did I ever ask for an explanation of it... Would be handy as I've to get new wheels for the RX7 also...

to avoid over technical explanation it's the dish you got. the 15"s you got have a high offset and no dish, the wheels you need to fill CBY will have to be low offset.

here is an example
wheels + manifold

the first are high offset (+30mm) the second set are lowwer offset (-2mm)

So if you wanted you could go to a -20 offset for a huge dish but the wheel would have to be very wide ?

Thanking you by the way

imagine a 6j wheel. and it has a -+0 offset. the back face that mounts to the hub would be in the center line of the wheel.

6j -30 would mean that same mounting face was 30mm toward the back of the wheel effectily pushing the wheel further out of the arch.

6j +30 would mean the same mouning face would be pushed to the front of the wheel. making for very little dish if any.

7j with -+0 or -30 or +30 will not sit in the same place as the 6j. so beware do some good research before you wreck your cam with CBY arches.

it's very rare that somone actually makes them CBY look good with the right wheels. if you put CBY arches and superlites on there they would never be seen again.

search out offset on the net there are loads of better explanations.

Possibly one of the best way someone can describe offset to people!!

shamlessly stolen.

Here's the basic specs on the CBY fender flares and what wheel size/offsets they are using on their demo Levin.

Flares:
Front: 50mm / 1.97 inches
Rear: 65mm / 2.56 inches

Wheels:
Panasport C8R
Front: 16x9.0" -6 offset
Rear: 16x9.0" -43 offset
Tire: 225/45-16 all around

Front Lower Arm extended 35mm

basically don't go CBY unless you got a big wallet for the rims you will need.
